First let me say that I would suggest you read about cutting your sts, before you do it, I didn't. I would also suggest you don't use safety kid scissors, I did. I would make another suggestion of trying it for the first time when the kids are bed, mine were talking/playing around me. Finally, I would suggest that you work this inside at a table not outside on your lap, like me. : )

The first stitch has been cut...

I moved onto the 2nd color to be cut...

While I was doing this Roo was showing me her roller skating moves

She some how went off the sidewalk and ended up in the grass, I held my breath to see if she would laugh or cry!

Isaiah came home about that time from school with Jackson.
I continued on and worked my way across and woohoo we have a thumb hole

I then started the thumb and finished it last night, this morning I took this picture of all the ends I had to weave in.

It's done though and it has a thumb, sorry for the weird angle, it's gloomy here today so I was trying to get my hand in the best light and at the same time hold the camera...this is why I want a tripod lol : )
I will prolly go back to my ol' way of doing thumbs, I just don't see the need to cut if you don't have to lol.
Thank you for encouraging me guys!
I hope you all have a great day of knitting : )

i like the way you write about the tips....so funny !
Nice works, you are so brave to do so despite of is a mulit-coloured mitten.
I love the back hill where the kids play.
When she called me and told me she had to cut the thumb hole out. I'm like you did what?? She is a brave soul. Don't you just love how she can multitask?
Love, Mom
She is a Mom...multi-tasking is a requirement!!!
Love, love, love the mitten and the thumb. Not so much all the ends to weave in though.
YAY!!! And what a thumb! SO fancy!
I agree with Carla, love the mitten, but wouldn't like all those ends.
Thanks guys : )
