Last week I thought of making this video and posting it on the first day of school. Of course I had no idea how to do it, but today I learned : )
I had been going through old pictures of the kids and kinda remembering them at younger ages, I think all moms do this once in a while it helps to get us ready for what we have to do next. You look back on the pictures and think ok I thought I would never sleep again there, but I did. I thought we would never get through the terrible twos, but we did. I didn't think he would ever learn to ride that bike on his own, but he did.
I want my kids to grow up, I want them to be independent and know who they are, and I want them to have a strong relationship with God. Its just sad sometimes when you know that your not gonna be there to protect them like you would like to be, and you hope that you have taught them enough with God's guidance to make the right decisions. Like when it comes to the bully on the play ground, or the boy teasing you on the bus, and so on.
However, you also know that your gonna miss these days you are living right now, your gonna want them coming running up to you with a big hug, your gonna want them soo excited about school, and your gonna want the days back when you didn't embarrass them so much lol.
As everyone will tell you enjoy these times they go by so fast, and ya know what believe them, take that to heart, and make as many memories as you can. It changes when they get in school of course not as much when they are older, but still somewhat. It's nice to have pictures to look back on and smile...

Thanks a lot...now I have to go reapply my eyeliner.
Lovely video. Ahhhh...the memories, eh?
Oh, dustina !
How very timely !
Thanks so much for using that song along with your precious photos. I'd never heard it, and it just rings so very true. I didn't think my nerves would let me get through this summer, and then I missed them so before they even boarded that plane.
Ah, it doesn't get any easier as you get older. But the memories are the sweetest nectar in the world........especially since you can't feel the 'hard time' part of them !
Loved all the pictures. Gave me a good cry. They have grown up too quick.
Tell them I love them very much.
Mom
PRICELESS!!
That's so true. Trace Atkins song makes me cry every time because there's days I want them to be more independent & then there's days that I wish they weren't growing up so fast. I agree 100% with your post & think we have the hardest job in the world, raising our kids to know God & to be good people & stand up for what we believe in etc. Boy do we have our work cut out for us.
*hugs*
Thanks everyone for the comments on the video. I'm so glad you guys enjoyed it... lol sorry I made so many cry lol. : )
