Saturday at the Fair (picture heavy)

I have a lot of pictures for Saturday so I'll just say we drove 2hrs for a Renaissance Fair, it was fun, it was different, it wasn't as historical as we expected (was hoping for a learning experience with the kids), and we will probably do it again next year : )

Making our way to the entrance

Isaiah and Roo at the gate

The Wenches helping a lady with a bee

Not sure what they were doing here they would spit food and try to catch it...if it fell on the ground they still had to pick it up

The guys liked this area

I found a knitter

Some of her items for sale the hats started at 30.00

I have no idea he wanted the crowd to yell Yea with him

The hats were selling

Back then they didn't have the rides we have now...so you got to go down a very long slide

I liked this set up...the puppets were cute

Meet your King Isaiah and Queen Roo

The Church (not sure you can see the guy in black first pew, praying)

Huge pirate ship, later a guy was twirling flame throwers...

Roo was getting into the spirit of things

Again due to the times the guys in the center had to push Roo around

She danced several times with different items on her head ex:drink, ketchup bottle, cane, sword...

This was Roo's favorite...she came around the crowd as well

As you walked around you saw different people playing various instruments

This was the singing wenches and lad

Her items were AMAZING!

The Knight of Scotland

Would get a hoop then aim for a hay stack, he didn't do very good on this event

He announced the different activities

The other knight who won...I didn't catch where he was suppose to be from

Let's Joust

The pictures of the joust didn't turn out well, but we have video and will upload it later on

They would also hit a board and count the turns they had

Roo got to pet the horse after the joust

The horses used in the joust were rescue horses, so for a few dollars you could help rescue more horses. Then the knights would sign a piece of jousting stick for you, here Isaiah is meeting the Knight of Scotland

He saved the princess...

We saw kilts

and more kilts

more

yeah and more

and more...some had tails as well (didn't get that part)

Isaiah locked up

Not sure who they were suppose to be...

The king watching the Highland games

The Highland games like throwing Haggis

Again due to the times the fun games were trying to get a stone on a lily pad : )

The pond

The Dungeon of Doom (we skipped going in there)

You could also drench a wench..

They had all kinds of these stands set up...very pretty

The Camel would pose for a picture lol

The blacksmith shop

It was a very nice day spent as a family, and Isaiah just loved it. He is very big into castles and knights...he came home and went straight to work on building his castle.
