It's fall, and I love the way the trees change, the dragging out of sweaters, the zipping up of boots, and leaves crunching under my feet. Even though living up here means you don't catch the beauty as in WV, but this year it's different. This year it does remind me of WV and makes me even more homesick I'm afraid. To get to our house you do climb a small hill with curves and as I travel it I'm reminded very much of the country roads back home. Also when you look out our bay window you are met with a mountain of trees that brings me peace.
This past week we have had a calmer week, which I have loved. With the fair going on it meant the canceling of Football, School, and yes even church. I was bothered about that but later was told they have meetings at the fair along with gospel music (still bothers me but I guess if everyone is going to be at the fair you go where they are)

The cats even seemed to sense the changing of the seasons and the calm...they sat in the same window with no fighting. This is HUGE here : )

We also had time to get the border started in Isaiah's room

The cows have enjoyed the cooler days, laying out in the fields only getting up to graze or scratch their heads on a power pole.

We also have a TON of these little birds that get in the field, trees, and power lines. They are all singing at one time and it can be very noisy but also peaceful...
JD's cousin is expecting next month and although I didn't get done what I wanted...I did manage to get somethings together for her. They didn't find out boy/girl so I tried to make it work either way.

A little hat that reminded me of fall and hunting. Uncle Jim loves to hunt so I thought the baby might need a hat to wear when hangin' out with grandpa. I also made felted booties but didn't care for the way the colors mixed after felting, it's prettier on its own.

Pair of white booties
and then I made these booties, I made them in blue/white combo like my snowflake socks. They were so cute but I do agree with others on Ravelry no way could a baby wear them. However, I forgot to get a picture of them *bangsheadondesk*

I also made this hat for the LYS, my first time using this yarn and it is very soft. It reminds you of handspun yarn with thick/thin spots...no splitting and the softness is just crazy.

Here is the scarf that will match it...

very simple pattern that is easy to memorize.
That is all, I do have another scarf but I dropped it off at the LYS without getting a picture *bangsheadondeskagain* so will get a picture soon : )
I hope you all have a great day of knitting : )
