Home again, Home again, Jiggity Jig...

On Sunday we came home from spending some time in WV, we had a really great time! This post will be picture heavy, of course I think almost all my posts are picture heavy : )

On the 4th the kids had their annual watergun battle, Uncle Ray was missing this year but Yogi stepped in and they had a blast! We were able to enjoy a cookout before the rain set in, the kids were disappointed that the fireworks couldn't be set off.

On Wednesday we went over to the New River Gorge Bridge overlook

it was very pretty

The only bad part was the climb back up : )

My grandmother wanted a long haired gray and white male kitten...when the girl called she said yes it's a long haired gray and white kitten. Two hours later my grandmother had Princess HA! : )

On Friday we had lunch with family. Isaiah and Gabe just fell right in with one another...so did Roo and Hannah : )

My grandfather has his good days and bad days (well what good days you can have with a broken back in 3 different places), during the week the kids and I took over the afternoon shift of checking on him, and making sure he was ok. The kids had a lot of questions on why he couldn't walk on his own and etc...they made him a get better card before we left.

On Saturday we walked to the overlook at Hawk's Nest State park (the lower park)

Again, so pretty!

JD came back Friday evening and so on Saturday we set off the fireworks, and it rained again.

Roo got brave enough to hold a sparkle only to have it pop back on her, that was it, she was done : )

As you can see below the Mountain Laurel Blanket was the winner, I do love this blanket but worried about the time it will take. I finished 2 hexagons in WV and mom is going to help me make some too. I almost finished another in the car coming home : )

My dad's garden is doing well again this year. Isaiah enjoyed eating the cucumbers : )

This year my dad wanted to see if he could grow tobacco, my Uncle Jerry brought him up some from KY. It is really doing good!

My dad is also in the process of making himself a muzzleloader

Here is a bowl that my dad carved out for mom, I told him I thought one would look really really good on my dinning room table : )

Last Father's Day I made my dad this sign to hang in his shop. I drew the picture and then mom did the writing : )

Also while in WV I finished the baby jumper (Anouk)I wanted to make and give to my cousin. I finished it just in time : )

Mom crocheted a button for the jumper

Then I made her some booties to match the jumper

On Sunday after we came home, we put together the bistro set mom had given us for the front porch (she spoiled me with new house gifts while in!)

We also placed the stars that Kathy gave me for the new house (she also spoiled me)

Yesterday, Isaiah started football camp, we thought this way he could meet others before starting the new school.

I hope you all have a wonderful day of knitting :sun:

Well that was a jammed packed post but I enjoyed every bit of it. The scenic shots were beautiful as were all the "crafty" projects (Dad's included in that). That baby jumper was especially cute!
And glad to see you are enjoying your new home.

We sure did have a great time. I really miss you guys.

During the water fight I was down behind the fence trying to stay out of the way. Well, yep I got wet too. Tilman used me for his sheld when he wanted to move around.

Whenever they go home, the house is too quiet. Love you guys. Mom
