Take your pet to school week

After studying about animals, this week Isaiah's class could bring in a pet. Of course his choice was Bella but that would just never work. She doesn't take to new situations and well she is moody lol.

So Gideon was then nominated and after others commenting on how he seemed to appear to be a Maine Coon, I did some research and I agree. This is how he looked this morning, helping me work on the test shawl...all kicked back with not a care in the world.

After being placed in the carrier he was not having anything to do with me, I was on his pout list. He did pretty good in the school for a cat that was being held in front of a bunch of hyped up kids all wanting to reach out for him and touch him...he is still pouting at me as I type this, he has put himself in the bathroom and won't look at me lol.

This is my cat Gideon he is a Maine Coon mix, they are known for their large body, paws, and long tail. These things help them in colder temperatures, they are also known for being very smart and loving.

They grow until age 4 and the male cats can reach 18 pounds, 40” long with tail, and 16” tall. Gideon is 3 years old and weighs 15 and half pounds; he is 15” tall and 33” long. He eats several times a day and its Friskums indoor cat food that he loves. Gideon is very loving and loves to sit with you on the couch; he is also very playful which is common in the breed.

This breed is also known for being healthy and strong, the most severe threat is heart disease. They are also one of the oldest natural breeds in North America, although their exact location and date is unknown. ~Isaiah
