She knits...and tries to crochet

The boys thought this was neat when they found it...ick!

This post is actually about knitting, now don't fall off your chair...I do still knit just don't seem to get as much done : )

I finished up the test knit stole and it's very pretty, I can't wait to show you guys pictures...I think it's suppose to be in the fall line-up. I'm going to give it to my grandmother for Christmas. A lot of time goes into knitting lace and I love to do it...I just don't wear it much. After that I started a small handbag, the picture above is before it was felted. It was a very very fast knit, which I needed after working on the stole.

Here it is felted ain't it cute? It turned out a bit smaller than I thought but I kept running it through the washer trying to get the ridges out...I finally decided to just stop before I had a coin purse lol.

Pattern: Noni Vintage Bag (small) available at the VacShak
Yarn: Plymouth Galway Worsted in a bright green also can get at the VacShak
Handle: I love these handles and was so excited to see them at the VacShak, they are great for handbags...

Jackie's daughter has a birthday coming up she will be 13 and I'm thinking of making her one... hopefully she will like it if I make it in a hot pink : )

I also started working on the wrap I had blogged about earlier (Bella tortured the yarn)...I'm making the small size woohoo

I also started a crochet project this week I figured it would be a piece of cake, HA! I'm still having trouble with this thing even though I did get it not so loopy but it still doesn't look right. Here is the pattern for the coasters, I think they are very cute. I had seen on Ravelry where Marykz had made one and then had a re-usable cup, tea recipe, and tea bags all for a gift for the teacher. I thought it was so cute that I want to make it for Isaiah's teacher. I'll be heading into the VacShak sometime soon as we only have 8 days left of school for help lol.

I love the new look of the blog!
And what great projects you've got going on! The little handbag is so cute and I'm really looking forward to seeing your lace project - what a nice gift for your grandmother. I'm just starting my first lace shawl.
I'm sure you'll get your crochet project together too.
