I kept meaning to stop and post pictures as the weekend was happening, that way this post wouldn’t be so long and picture heavy, but now the weekend is drawing to a close and I’m just now posting. : )
On Friday, I did my 2wk grocery shopping without any kids, I wasn’t sure what to really do and I missed the conversation. When you’re shopping alone and you say “where did they move the….” you seem crazy but when you have a child with you that filters it.
I did enjoy shopping for mom’s yarn all by myself though. Usually when I go into the VacShak the kids are ready to go and don’t really like for me to just look. Mom had sent up some money since she didn’t get to come up in May, and then I’ll take it home with me.

We are also trying out a dog for the weekend, the shelter had this full blooded basset hound and we are giving him a go. He was rescue that they did back in January, where they found 13 neglected bassets. They have been taking care of them and now some are ready for adoption. He loves the kids and is very playful which surprised me ‘cause I thought they were lazy. He doesn’t mind the cats either but he likes to bark at everything, that is my main concern with him. He needs to be neutered before we can really tell what his house broken situation is and right now we are crating him during the night and when we go somewhere. He has done really well with that and *knock on wood* has not had any accidents in his crate or the house. He doesn’t have a lot movement in the house though as I’m afraid he will. Thankfully it’s been nice enough for him to be outside with us (although it’s very HOT). We have gone through several names if we would keep him, he arrived with the name Fred, which I liked, and has had:
Cesar (JD’s name)
Oscar (I think this a good name)
I also like Norman but JD thinks maybe Yeager.
Roo and I also attended the local dance recital, Isaiah’s friend’s sister was in it and Roo loved it. She would really love to take classes next fall and I think it would be good for her, esp. the tap class : )

We also had the VBS program today and the kids did so well.

We got so tickled at Roo ‘cause she was all business. She was there to sing her songs and that was it lol.

Isaiah had his friend with him and they did a great job and even did the hand motions *shock* lol : )

It’s just been a very hectic weekend and this week doesn’t look slow either with basketball camp, pictures, and library. I started this last night but I’m finishing up today : )
As for knitting I tried to work on my Rain forest sock yesterday but it was so hot and muggy that the yarn just felt icky in my hands.
I hope you guys stay cool and have a great day of knitting : )
