End to another crazy week

Hi, I’m Yeager and I officially became a member of this family on Wednesday, I’m starting to wonder what exactly I got myself into.

This week has been crazy with taking Isaiah to and from basketball camp, getting a notice on my car for a tow, taking the kids to the library (I was there 3 times this week), taking the kids for their yearly picture, running around to grab items for the dog, and then let’s not forget about the dog and getting him used to this house. I am proud to say (and better knock on wood) that he is doing a lot better with the barking/howling he does. He knows now when I clap my hand he better stop, he still barks at the stray dog/cat/the n’bors walking to the mail box, but that is prolly normal doggie behavior. At least we don’t have the “I’ll just sit here and bark to drive you crazy anymore” : )

Monday, I had no clue where to take Isaiah for camp, the paper said either at the H.S. or an Elementary school I had never been to. I was hoping for the H.S. so stopped there first to be told nope it’s at the Elementary school. I knew this school was set up really weird with no direct parking lot and a lot of one way streets around it. So we took off and I ended up down one of the one way streets going the wrong way…so I just parked real fast in a dr’s office parking lot. I figured I’m just dropping him off and I parked at the bottom of the lot so I’d be ok. Wrong, first warning was the intercom letting us know they had called to complain twice and then me going out to my car to find the notice that I would be towed at my expense. So after that we parked across the street and walked back around the school. : )

Tuesday, we signed up for Summer of Reading and Roo picked out her books, which Isaiah gets credit for if he reads them to her. Then he asked the lady where the “Jack & Annie” books were…She told him to find the O section and look for Osborne, he was so excited as there were 5 left so of course he had to take them all. He loves to read and Roo seems interested too, I hope that continues. I had a really cute picture of them reading on my porch but my camera has decided not to use memory cards anymore so I have no way of getting it off right now grrrr ….

Wednesday, I took Isaiah to camp and then went to make a craft with Roo. I thought it was suppose to last from 9:30 to 11:30 but you could just come between those times. It lasted prolly 10 mins for us and that was it lol. I also then ran down to the shelter and got Yeager all situated. I then dressed the kids casual for pictures hoping that would calm the fuss we normally have with picture taking. It’s hard to believe that the same girl that has to pose in every photo hates getting her photo taken by a pro. Of course then she fussed ‘cause she wasn’t in a dress and had pig tails lol. Isaiah didn’t care he just sat there and smiled while Roo would suggest poses…”don’t you think this would look better?” The lady was new so just happy be there so didn’t mind the extra time it took…I also received an e-mail letting me know they were getting together to knit last night, I ran over there when JD got home and they were all there. I had a really good time; it’s so nice to get out with others that get knitting lol. This is also the day my camera decided to start being a PAIN. JD brought me home a new memory card but again wouldn’t use it.*sigh* so I can take 19 pictures with the quality still being somewhat ok…

Today was Isaiah’s last day of camp and boy was he excited. He has never played basketball before and really just joined for the free shirt and to get with other kids. I had no idea how it would be and neither did he, I was really really shocked at the hollering that went on. I can see wanting the child’s attention and for them to listen but I dunno I think one kinda tip toed over that line a bit (a lot). He was excited though ‘cause he finally won something a pair of XLG shorts that are way to big for even JD lol but he doesn’t care he is going to hang them on his wall “cause I worked hard for those shorts” and he got his shirt…as you can tell he is tickled and I asked him are you happy today ‘cause you had fun or over? He said OVER! : )

After that we headed back to the library where they had bring your own lunch and listen to a story. I packed the kids their favorite sandwiches, fruit, and then their water bottles, we get there and every one else went through McD’s LOL…my kids were like UGH lol

Here is one of the librarians reading a story they were able to read 4/5 while the kids ate their lunches and I knitted on a dish rag : )

After getting home I realized my dryer had died on me so I spent the rest of the afternoon fretting about buying parts or a new one. We decided to go for a new one since most felt a multimeter would be too dangerous to use to figure out if the heating element or thermostat had gone. I ran down to Sears and tomorrow they are having a sale so I’ll go back then.

If you read all this Yeager says HUH, why would you do that…but I say thanks and HUGS! : ) (had to get that photo in some way)

Knitting wise I’m almost to the toe of the Sockamania sock YAY and I joined for SAM6
: )

As you can tell the cats are exhausted by this week too lol. I wish I had my camera on our walk today; Yeager could walk no more and just lay down and closed his eyes. JD had to carry him till he could get him walking again : )

**Molly, I hope you stop by my blog again (I need your e-mail addy) the Great American Aran Afghan sample is hanging at the Vac Shak it’s in the back with the quilts and very pretty. I think the sweater is my favorite block…in the book they have the Church block and I think that one might beat it when I seen it done…**

**Update on Linda, she goes to the dr tomorrow to learn more about her cancer and when the treatments will start. They did remove the lung, part of the bronchial tube, and TWO masses that have fingers. They will concentrate on the other side for treatments in hope it didn’t have a chance to spread…thank you all for your continued prayers and support!**

Yeager is cute!! I'm glad he's adjusting okay. It'd be hard to let another dog go. Lunch at the library sounds like a lot of fun.

He was so excited over the shirt lol...they were promised a shirt but didn't get it till the end...he won't even wear it says he worked hard for it too lol..

It would be hard if the kids had to say bye to him...we talked about that and if hadn't worked out then we wouldn't have looked for a long time... the lunch was a lot of fun : )
