A little bit of knitting and VBS

This morning was the last morning of VBS, on Sunday they will have a little program, and Roo is very excited for this (the boys not so much)



Yesterday I was getting ready and when I came out there was Roo waiting for me, she wanted to show me that she was ready for VBS as well.


It took some doing but I finally got the purple goo off her face, however the glitter wouldn’t budge and of course she has to strike a pose : )


Last night I went knitting at Hilde’s house and had a really good time. This week it was only Kim and Hilde as the others couldn’t make it. Hilde helped Kim with her sweater vest (the pink) by showing her how to crochet the border around the arms. Kim was working on the Tomato Sweater and I worked on 3 different projects.



First up was the bird in hand mitten that I have never finished, I made it to where I needed to move the thumb so I put it to the side, and pulled out the Civil War Shawl. I worked a knit round of that and didn’t feel like trying a lace round so I put it to the side, and pulled out the sock I had started. I have 2 socks going right now the new Sockamania pattern ‘Rain forest’ and ‘Sydney’ which was re-released.

I also showed Kim how to do a toe up co and Hilde how I do a knitted cast on. Hilde showed us some crochet and next time I'm bringing a purse pattern I have, for help lol. Knitting in the round is so easy but crocheting in the round…well I always end up lost : )
