On Thursday, we went to Roscoe Village on Isaiah’s field trip. It was very interesting to take the tour, I have always wanted to. I’m not sure how interesting the kids found it; Isaiah’s favorite part was the movie at the end lol. It also rained and just wasn’t a pretty day, Roo did pretty well for me, only had to pull her to the side a few times. After the tour the kids made candles and punch tins, this was Roo’s favorite part. Then we went to see the Canal history movie until the bus returned.
Afterwards, Roo and I went to KFC, we were starving! The kids had started their lunches and we had to run back to our car to get our lunch. As we walked through the door we heard 5 minutes. I was able to get some grapes down her and ½ of a sandwich lol.

Once home and Isaiah came in, he had his friend over for a while and I received my Mother’s day flowers. They are so pretty and the little brown box is a box of really really good chocolates. I love my roses and they are really opened up today! Thank you sweetie!!
On Friday, we went grocery shopping; first stop was wal-mart and then rushed home to unpack everything. For lunch we headed to Isaiah’s school where they were having a beach blanket hot dog lunch. It was a lot of fun and Roo enjoyed playing with the older kids on the playground. Afterwards, we finished up our grocery shopping and made it home in time for Isaiah. He came in with my mother’s day gift they had made in school a coupon for washing the dishes and a little flower.

I also received my Sock wars name on Friday but I’m not sure when. I never noticed the time of the e-mail all I know is I didn’t get to sit down and start it till late on Friday and was up till 1. Yesterday I didn’t get to start on it again till the evening I was up till 2am working on it, and now my right wrist is awful sore. So I’m not knitting *bummed* and hoping the person with my name is having a crazy weekend too. I would love to make it to the next round : )

Yesterday, I received a box from mom jammed pack with goodies for all of us. She sent me a mom/daughter matching cup/mug set, memo paper, & yarn (pictured above). The kids couldn’t wait to color their shirts, then we heat set them, and added glitter after that. I think Isaiah is wearing his to school tomorrow lol.

This is my SKP sock and I haven’t been able to touch it for sometime. I’m not sure I like it with this yarn so I kinda have doubts about continuing with it. I also wish I had thought to lift the YO up on the next rounds so they would have been smaller.

I hope you all have a great day of knitting!
Happy Mother’s Day! : )
**Update on my mom's friend, she went in last week to remove the lymph nodes that the dr was so sure it would be postive and guess what it was negative! She is now waiting test from a biopsy they took of her lung on Friday. Please keep her in your prayers. Thank you for all the support here and on KH!**
