A great day : )

Yesterday was my birthday and I really had a great day! It started out with us going to town, we separated after lunch at BK (Isaiah’s pick for the good remarks his teacher gave him on Tue.), and then the kids went with JD to get ready for their surprise to me.

I came back home and started to clean up the kitchen when Isaiah came in and told me he would like a jolly rancher from the computer room. Being aware of the surprise and that I needed to go with it, I said ok. Once in here he also asked if he could go on Disney’s site Jet X a few minutes later Roo came in grinning from ear to ear and saying “mommy, I spilt some water” …not sure if this was part of the plan or not I wasn’t sure if I was suppose to go clean it up or not. After a few minutes she told me I was suppose to go clean it and then both Isaiah and Roo raced to the dinning room where they started singing Happy Birthday with JD and this was my surprise:



YUM! It was really good it was a DQ ice cream cake and the kids were so happy with themselves : ).

JD has an aunt that lives up here in OH and for Christmas she had given us a GC to Bob Evans and one night out by ourselves, so we cashed that in and she watched the kids for us. We went to Zanesville and hit a payless where I got a pair of black sandals and since it was BOGO I talked JD into a pair of shoes for him. We also walked around Hobby Lobby, Pet Smart, and the mall. We then found our way to Bob Evans and enjoyed dinner with one of their hot cakes afterwards. This was our 3rd cake for the day while at Burger King we had one of their Hershey pies lol. I told JD I was going to have to walk and walk today to get all that off. We then hit another pet store and then headed back to his Aunt’s around 8:30 and visited for awhile, by the time we got home I was so tired. The kids got to bed late, called mom, and went to sleep!



For my birthday, JD had already given my gift it was an electric heater that looks like a real fireplace and then he got me the cake and sandals. Mom sent me birthday money which I used to buy a Sansa. I have wanted something to use while outside knitting and though of getting an IPOD shuffle, but I know nothing of this tech stuff. After weighing the Shuffle and what the Sansa had for just a little more, JD thought it would be the best and it was in red. The only shuffle they had was in silver and the Sansa has an FM radio more GB, voice recorder, and audio books…

JD’s parents sent me a Candy bouquet; it is in a heavy Coca Cola glass and has skittles with chocolate on top. I have Coca Cola in my kitchen and dinning room so it fits perfectly.

My brother left me a voice message wishing me a happy birthday and my grandmother passed on a message that my card is coming lol. The two cards on the stove are from mom and Mrs. Scarbro.

All in all it was a wonderful day that buzzed by to fast. This morning we got up and went to church, grabbed some lunch, and I’ve been trying to figure out Rhapsody. They have ever Elvis song he ever recorded!! I told myself just start out with a few songs…48 songs a few? We have Elvis, Conway Twitty, Carrie Underwood, Patsy Cline, Nat King Cole, Roy Orbison, Alabama, Big and Rich, Hank Williams, Martina McBride, Reba, Garth, Sawyer Brown, Doug Stone, Ricky Van Shelton, Ronnie Millsap ohh I forgot Glenn Miller and Rosemary! I think have some Diva Knitting pod casts on there too. I can also pick one free book to download so I’ve been browsing…I keep going back to my favorite Little Women and Ann of Green Gables : )



This is what I’m working on well I haven’t been since Friday (thanks mom for the walk through on the phone) it’s going to be this crocheted purse (pdf file). The first square I did 5 rounds but I think it's to big so I'm going down to 4 rounds. I’m still working on Roo’s top but haven’t knitted since umm Thurs? I think so maybe tonight I’ll work more on it. Then I need to pick an April pattern for the SAM 5.
