We wish you a Merry Christmas

and a happy New Year!! : )

One of our wonderful traditions this time of year is going to the Christmas Eve service with Aunt Debbie and Uncle Jim, and then going to their house for good food and company.  The kids love it ‘cause they get to open a gift before the big day.

It was so pretty…this year the focus on Jesus our light and savior

Isaiah playing a game seeing how many deer he could take down.  I missed getting a picture of them opening their gifts *gasp I know*…Isaiah enjoyed Legos (he loves those things) and Roo wanted a western lamp for her room.  We are now changing from a princess room to a cowgirl room :D

While they slept Santa came to see them

Our kids have never been earlier risers on Christmas morning.  A typical day Roo can be at 6 or 6:30 but for some reason on Christmas we have been lucky.  They woke up this year around 7

Bella wasn’t liking the craziness - she left after this and camped out in the family room till it was all over.

The best gift Santa brought and prolly the only one he really needed to bring was the Kinect.  The kids have had a blast playing the games.

Roo’s favorite is the dancing game

Our Christmas dinner-Smithfield Ham, cinnamon apples, mashed tators, green beans, corn, sweet potatoes, mac-a-cheese for Roo, and rolls.  Oh and cranberry sauce…: )

You can’t beat ending the night with a slice of Pumpkin pie.

The best part of Christmas for me this week besides being with my family…was Gideon became well again.

If anyone really knows me they know how much this cat holds my heart.  He became sick on Tuesday and I thought he prolly got a hold of something he shouldn’t have.  I had noticed he had been looking at my trees more and more (he never bothered them before).

On Wednesday he was mopey, his tail was being dragged (his tail is always up and prissy), but finally that evening he came around and was laying with me on the couch.  I thought he must be feeling better.

On Thursday he spent the day with me not off by himself till about 4 or 5, then I could tell.  He was sick and it was bad.  He had made his way down stairs and couldn’t move.  He was to weak to stand, walk, clean himself, and began to have an odor.  It smelled like death to me not that I know what that really smells like but that was the first thing that popped into my head.  We placed him in the dog kennel we have so I would only have to clean one area and he wouldn’t go off somewhere.

That night I was mess worrying about him and just knowing he wouldn’t make it till Friday morning when I could get him to the Vet’s office.  I made way down to the laundry room Friday morning thinking I prolly need to go get JD up…

I turned on the light and there he stood in the kennel with his furry prissy tail up in the air and his eyes looking like Gideon again.  He was fussing at me and swishing that tail like how dare I put him in this dog kennel.

I opened the cage door and out he came purring, rubbing his head against me, and fussing at the same time.  He was hungry!

He has been fine every since making Bella’s life miserable again, playing in the empty boxes yesterday, and sticking to me like glue.  He even woke me up at 7 this morning (he feels I should be up when he is).

I know this is a staple on my blog this time of year but really can you beat it? : )

Looks like everyone had fun!

I am so glad that Gideon is okay! As I read, my heart trembled for you, and my eyes got tears in them. I know how much your animals mean to you. I am so glad that God spared him.

Hugs and a Merry Christmas to you, my friend!
