Our week

…has been busy once again.  We also got some snow and the kids got some 2 hr delay days.  I figure this year it will have to be pretty bad for them to get a snow day since we are down to only 3 allotted for the year.  Next year it goes to ZERO days which is crazy for this area. 

JD ran me to best buy on Tuesday so I could get a free upgrade phone.  I’m still trying to figure it all out lol.  It is pretty cool and I’ve been having fun taking video and pictures. 

Of course now I know I must rotate the phone to take video :D

On Friday we had the Christmas concert at the school.  The PTO had a drawing for bicycle and the little boy (first grade) who won was presented with it.  He was so shocked he didn’t know what to say.  We also held the drawing for the big stocking and a little 2nd grade girl walked away with it. 

We also rec’d our shirt orders from that fundraiser but all black items were wrong. 


On the black shirts we were the “white” bears instead of the black bears lol.  The company is trying to get the new batch done and ready to go for this Friday.  Many ordered the shirts for Christmas gifts. 

This coming week I was hoping to not enter the school till Friday for Christmas parties.  However now I will have to go in to work on these orders.  We will have to take out all the black orders but also double check orders.  The company when they dropped the shirts off told us some items were missing from orders and some orders were missing.  They would have those to us by Wednesday and couldn’t provide us with the list.

Now I’m not sure if those will be done by Wednesday or not…and I would like to know who is missing what or who didn’t get anything.  This company is usually right on so I know they will make it all right. 

Yesterday we had dance in the morning and then she returned for more in the afternoon.  Thankfully she was able to go to a friend’s house in between so I didn’t have to rush back down. 

Earlier we put the horses in the barn so they could dry off and stay dry for awhile. It had rained last night into this morning and then began to snow.

I’ve been reading up on how they do during the cold months.  I know some put blankets on their horses but so far I’ve only read how that can mess the horse’s natural ability to stay warm up.  

Coming home from dance practice we could see other horses in the snow covered pastures so we decided to put the boys out.  Storm took one look at the white ground and wanted back in his stall.  Big dumb wasn’t too thrilled either but he will follow Storm anywhere so once we got Storm out, he followed. 

Now they are going from door to door and looking in the barn as to say we want back in :D.  Can you spoil a horse?

I told JD this is when we need Amish Henry to stop by see his horse in a stall, eating grain, and hay lol. 

I also made a hat, been a long time since I had a finished object to show.  I’ve been in a knitting blahh lately or maybe its ‘cause I don’t have much time right now to knit.  This was made from a kit mom got last year or the year before.  It was before she had tried color work and wasn’t sure if she could handle it.  So gave the kit to me…her hat is finally done :D
