It has been another crazy week here but I think that is just the normal for us now. The kids got their wish and had a snow day on Monday and a 2 hr delay on Tuesday. We now have 2 snow days left lol.
The horses have been enjoying the barn and on Wednesday they refused to go out. Ok I got Storm out but couldn’t get Buttercup to budge! Of course Storm kept coming in and going back to his stall as to say if he doesn’t, then I’m not going out either.
Amish Henry stopped by to bring us oats and corn and was surprised that I had gotten his big work horse in the barn. Oh if he only knew how that horse has stole our hearts and loves attention lol. He asked if I wanted him to take him and get a smaller horse that I could manage better, I told him nope…Storm and him get a long so well.
I have also been to the school working on those shirt orders. We went through all the orders to make sure other things were correct. So many orders had mistakes of ordering something in gray but receiving in black or not getting what they ordered at all. It is such a huge headache right now. The company is working hard to make fixes but we only have 3 days next week and many ordered these items for Christmas. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
I also had to get ready for Roo’s Christmas Party. I needed to come up with a craft and a game. I host the parties in stations, we split the kids up, and rotate. The third station would be bringing them all together for snacks.
Our huge snowman head I made for “tape the nose on a snowman”
The ornaments were gonna be a snowman. I used felt and cut out all the shapes I needed. I then glued the snowman body to ribbon. That way they could use their time decorating.
We also had the school’s Christmas reading program at school (video to follow soon). Roo was so excited to attend and say her line, she told me “I dream to be on stage, I belong on stage” lol.
Each class from Preschool to 2nd grade did a little skit, they then all joined to sing, and hear a story. Isaiah was so glad that 4th grade didn’t have to participate in this.
I took this photo ‘cause he was trying to psych me out by staring at me and nothing else…
They then waited in line to meet Santa to receive their book
Roo told me as we left I know who Santa was…I think they all did.
We then had to rush to her first Elite Christmas party. She was so up set that she would miss her party (the program ran longer than I thought). She is still upset that she didn’t have as much time as the other girls did and has said next year she will skip the school’s program if its on the same night lol.
Her big sis and Roo opening their gifts to each other
Having a serious conversation lol
Playing a game-a race against the Big Sisters
I finally got Isaiah in the tree…doesn’t he look thrilled!
Making her snowman at her party today.
Isaiah also had a party at school but it was more laid back, when I got upstairs they were play charades.
Now what will this next week bring…hopefully no sickness, t-shirt orders corrected, and me getting more things marked off my list. I did finally get my Christmas cards so can start sending those out. :D
