Ready for picture overload?

As you guys know I’ve been using mom’s camera lately.  I couldn’t understand why when I take a far away shot it looks like this:

gold vs maroong

Pretty good the color is nice and Isaiah is not competing with the back ground.

Then I would try to take picture by just point and shoot and it didn’t go so well.  The pictures looked flat you couldn’t really tell what I was trying to capture, it all blended.

On this camera you can’t change the AV or SS, the white balance did not help…and so I went to the ISO but look…lots of noise.

I just couldn’t figure out what was going on, this is a nice camera why couldn’t I get good shots.  I read online and some had the same concerns I was having, this camera rocks at distant shots, but left something to be desired for those everyday moments.

Still I couldn’t leave it alone, this camera had to do better than what I was getting.  So I did what most do now days, I went to face book.  I asked for tips and for help on what I could do and one person came with answers.

So I set out to get the camera to work for me first I got this
