I must apologize all these pictures were taken by my phone, I must get in the habit of taking my camera with me everywhere
:D
On Wednesday we met with Jen and Chanelle, they had balloons for Roo. I didn’t tell her what was coming and she was so surprised, she didn’t know what to say :D
She loves the balloons and has enjoyed them soo much
Opening her card she loved that it had Roo on the front :D
Thursday we noticed that Storm wasn’t putting any weight on his foot, we couldn’t figure out what he had done. There was no cut/blood/swelling.
After Christy’s girls came out and talking to Christy we decided he needed to be kept in the stall. Christy is the one who gave us Storm and I know no matter what time I can text her with my panic questions. The girls and her are amazing and always calm me down and let me know its ok that I had to call them again…and again.
So in he went with fan blowing air on him, I think he loves his own personal fan.
The Amish horse that is left has been missing his friend he would go to this door and look in….
and then to this door. We finally had to block the pasture to keep him in the front… he kept breaking in this way.
We kept him in all Thursday evening and Friday, on Saturday we noticed he was putting weight on it again. We decided to let him out for a while he doesn’t like being cooped in the stall, and I feel bad for him…spend most of my time down there with him. We put him back in the stall Saturday evening.
This morning he was walking on it and putting more and more weight on the leg, not a smooth walk but a lot better. We let him out for most of today and then put him to bed early. He did not want to go back in the stall, but once he realized if he wanted grain, he decided it was in his best interest.
I’m hoping tomorrow he will walk smoother and hopefully soon be back to his old self.
On a lighter note Friday, before the day went crazy, the kids were down there playing in the barn and pasture. I was up here getting ready for our trip to town, when they came running in with “Momma, Momma, come quick he isn’t breathing and isn’t moving” I replied “he is prolly sleeping” and got “no momma came quick”. I started to think hrmm did I worm him too much, they had helped me in June but it was time for another dose and I did it on my own, I was so proud that I accomplished that myself…did I hurt Storm. *gulp*
I took off to the barn and sure enough in the stall he laid with his eyes open. His breathing was heavy. I made my way in, he did not move. I squatted by his head and said “Oh Stormie” and that horse came out of there in a rush, like I’m not dead yet! I started to laugh and he looked at me like I had lost my mind…he was in a deep sleep it seemed. I gave him a big hug around the neck but got the snort that I think says “I’m not happy with you right now” :D
