I was doing so good in WV with my blog posts and now I’m behind again and that would lead to a very picture heavy blog post. It also left me a lot to tell that I hadn’t taken pictures of. So I decided to break them down and at the end of each “Sharing with you”, I’ll include an experience I have learned from this week.
Father’s Day weekend here was very nice and H-O-T. We had Jackson down on Friday and he spent most of the day with us, Isaiah then went home with him that evening for a sleep over.
Our Saturday was spent doing work around here we attacked our flower beds (still have to work on some). Fix a fence that I had mended the day before when Storm showed me he could just take a post down to get in the pasture with the other horses. While working around the house on we discovered that we had baby frogs…a lot of them.
On Sunday we had a peaceful day of relaxing, swimming, and a cookout. We have really been enjoying our grill lately.
The kids enjoyed the pool (I know lately that is all I have pictures of but that is mostly all they do now with the heat).
Roo is still trying to work on her run, jump, twist around before hitting the water.
Now know I’m far from a horse expert. However, I thought maybe I would share my experiences with you all. Now remember he is a 700lb horse and I’m a girl that has only dreamed of owning a horse and is loving every minute of it! :D
My experience for the day:
Horses are stubborn and Storm has met his match. I’m a very stubborn person and well, I can’t let him win. Saturday morning I go out to check him and feed him. Friday was his first night staying out of the barn. I reach him and he does NOT want to come back up to the barn with me to be fed/brushed/and be rubbed down with bug repellent. A 5 min walk took us 30 mins, but I got him up to the barn. My body felt it though, making a 700lb horse move when he doesn’t want to…well your gonna feel it for a day or two. : )
