This is the day

On Friday it was spring picture day at school. Lately Roo has been letting me curl her hair before she goes to bed.

It turns out really good for her and holds better than I thought it would.

This weekend was beautiful!

We were very spoiled and got a lot accomplished. The garage was cleaned out, the Christmas items were moved to the shed, the barn was sorted...

the ponds were started back up and we thought we had moved all fish from this one to the big one. However, we discovered one fish that was left behind all winter and survived! Here we were taking such good care of the big pond, making sure it had holes, and not disturbing the fish blahh. This little fish survived with no holes, a dog and Isaiah falling in, and who knows what else.

The big pond holding close if not more to 30 fish

the flower gardens once again have items in them

The flower bed is pretty bare still but there is a touch of green and yellow

and we cleaned up where the old owners kept their wood.

I'm covered in bruises and cuts but that means we worked hard right?

As we enjoyed the weekend I kept thinking of Psalm 118:24 and the song that goes with it.

This is the day, (echo) This is the day,

That the Lord has made, (echo) That the Lord has made.

We will rejoice (echo) We will rejoice,

And be glad in it (echo) And be glad in it!

This is the day that the Lord has made,

We will rejoice and be glad in it!

This is the day (echo) This is the day,

That the Lord has made.

Yesterday when I went to study for today's meeting at the church, this verse was listed. A reminder that we are suppose to live for today, not tomorrow, or the future. I know it's hard not to get caught up in the worries and wondering of it all, but tomorrow is never promised. We need to focus on today and what blessings he is given us now and rejoice.

Roo was up most of Sunday night sick at her tummy and she stayed home from school yesterday. I was dragging, but she didn't want a nap. So we curled up on the couch for some TV and knitting time.

On Tuesday morning, I have been going to a fellowship at a local church. We start all together but then break down into smaller groups, I had wanted to do something for the group of ladies that I am with (the red group), this was going to be our last one till fall. I have really enjoyed getting to know them and studying the word with them, we have spent the last couple of weeks breaking down Psalm 23.

I wasn't sure if I could pull something off for them since it didn't weigh on my mind till Sunday. So I thought I would just make these now and then, so next year I would be ready. However with Roo being sick, I was able to get 6 done.

I didn't know if that would be enough because our numbers in our smaller group, seem to change each week. If some don't come on Sundays then they come on Tuesdays. So I thought I would take them in and see, if there was more then I just wouldn't hand them out. Six was enough and in fact I ended up bringing one home with me.

Why the M&M logo? The group goes by M&M (Moms and Mentors), during our studies we munch on m&ms, and they also set out the M&M characters around the church. :D

I hope you guys are having a great day and seeing hints of spring.
