I have been wearing my Olympic hat out and about, and at the school on Friday I was asked where I found one. This is how the conversation then went.
One Mom: "I like that hat, where did you find one"
Another mom: "That is what they wore in the opening ceremony, isn't it?"
Me: "yep, I found the pattern online and decided to make it"
Them: "no, you didn't, really where did you find it"
Me: "yes, I really did make it"
Them: "no, your too young to do that"
Me: "umm no, I really did make it"
Them: "The Olympics just started you really made that"
Me: "Uhh yes I did. It took me 2 days but is a fast knit and prolly could have made it in 1 if all I did was knit"
Them: "So your grandma really made it, right?"
Me: *sigh*
