One of the custodians at the school always takes an interest in all the kids and he was Santa at the younger kids Christmas program back in December. I don't know how he does it but he knows all the kids names and is always picking on them.

They decided that they wanted to do something extra for him this Valentine Day. During lunch time a mom walked around and had every child sign this card.

I brought my camera on Friday for the parties so was asked to snap a few pictures. Here she is giving him the card

Here he is with all of his Valentines (they also sent him some things through the thing we were doing). I think he was really surprised, he told them that he was having a rotten day (clearing all the snow) and that turned his day around.

Then it was time for the parties, I started out in Roo's room. I was doing the craft with them this time. I decided to do these little picture frames, in Jan. I went in and took the pictures. I had the pictures in the frames so all they would have to do is decorate the front and add the magnets. No glue, just stickers, quick, simple, and they seemed to have fun with it.

They then played bingo

and enjoyed some snacks.

I then moved up to Isaiah's class to take some pictures.

The whole time I was there kids were coming up to him and wanting to talk to him or ask him questions. It was nice to see since in the past few years of school he felt like he had a few friends but not many.

Yesterday after watching the Mountaineers play we headed to Columbus. We wanted to get out of the house, although it looked like everyone else had the same idea it was crowded there but we had a good time. We went into several stores and then headed in search of a shovel, with no luck.

We then went to eat at Hoggy's here the kids are waiting for our name to be called.

Roo branched out and tried their grilled cheese sandwiches, she is usually a chicken girl. She also tried a french fry but didn't care for it, I think she may have if she would have tried ketchup.

Here is what I ordered, JD got this too with a side of sweet potatoes. Isaiah enjoyed his regular hamburger.

Afterwards, JD took the kids to Graeter's for ice cream and he took me to Caribou for a Hot cocoa. After that Roo still wasn't ready to go home so we stopped in Meijers 'cause she didn't know what that was. In there we found snow shovels!
We really had a great day out and Roo asked me this morning if we could do it again.
