We are the Champions

I'm trying to keep my excitement in check, 'cause Isaiah really loves football, and he is upset that it is over. However, I'm so excited to have my Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays back for awhile. Mom was up this past weekend too for the final game, it's always great having her up for a visit...sad to see her go but know she will be back up in November. : )

On Thursday we had our last practice, so glad I don't have to smell the pigs for awhile.

This is what I made up during the last practice, hard to get a picture of it.

During the last practice the main guy over it all showed up dressed us a football player (the guy in white) he played a few plays with the remaining teams.

The dads started to practice with the boys a few weeks ago, suppose to help the boys, but I think it's more about them : )

On Friday it was popcorn day, I'm not sure what I was expecting but it wasn't standing on my feet all day. I wore the wrong shoes my high heel boots, ya'll know how I love fall and my boots. I paid for it later that day and into Saturday. I thought I was going to just be helping but I soon learned I was being prepped to take it over...next month I have a feeling me and the kids will be at the school at 7:30. I was hoping to leave by 12:30 so I could get everything marked off my to do list before mom came...didn't happen.

On Friday we lost power around 7:30, mom had bought up the color wonder books for the kids, kept them busy while we waited. It came back on around 11:30, me and the kids were snoozing by then lol.

I also rec'd my swap love it all, the tags are too cute, and I had never seen this type of lip gloss before. Thank you to my swap pal!!

Roo is very excited that football is over, no more waiting in the car, no more football games, and she can play longer with Haley on Tuesday and Thursday now.

During the last game Isaiah made a run for the extra pts, he didn't make it, but gave it an awesome try!

We were told after their first game that the other teams were picked by who the coaches knew...our team was more of the ones that they didn't know. So after the first game some were fussin' that our boys were faster and bigger, they wanted us broken down and mix the boys back up. The main coach said no they had the stats on each boy and they made the final decision. Our boys didn't lose a game all season and it was so nice to see the boys that were tossed to the side when the championship!

The last huddle

before getting ice cream! One of the dads told the boys if you when I will buy you Ice Cream : )

Some of the boys had already left when I took this picture but here are some of the Champs enjoying their Ice Cream. Isaiah left there singing "We are the Champions of the world" : )

Later on Saturday we started our pumpkin carving, here the kids are tearing into it.

That lasted for ohh maybe 2 minutes before I got stuck with the job.

Roo trying to carve out the eye

Isaiah giving it a go

Their finished pumpkin, Roo designed the mouth, and wanted the scratches for a mean effect.

All ready to go

Here is a scarf I finished not to long ago, it is for the local H.S. in the area. I was hoping to get more interest to do the other two H.S. in this area and then teach a class on double knitting, but so far no go. I will have the pattern up soon for it on here, it's basically the Fan Favorite but I'm going to make that pattern shorter. I think it is too long and gets confusing. The C R are reversible from either side it reads right, but the arrow is not. Giving the option of easier (not reversible) or harder : )

I also rec'd more stockings and will do another post about that hopefully tomorrow. Thank you all so much for the stockings!

Wow! What a busy gal you are! I can totally identify with the team thing. My son was on a baseball team that resembled the Bad News Bears. They wound up beating all of the "stacked" teams for the championship. Draft meant nothing in that city! But it worked out in the end, making us even more proud of what those guys accomplished.

Yay for easier weeks now. I know you'll relish your slower pace!!
