On Wednesday I wound up some Cascade Yarns Cotton Rich DK, so that I could CO Thursday morning for this, I figured I could work on it while at Roo’s dance practice and soccer practice. However, lately Bella has decided to get into all of my yarn (used to be just wool), so later that night this is what I found when I was passing through the living room. I don’t know how she did it but she got it wrapped around the bottom of the recliner as well. It took a while to get that stuff untangled.

Gideon came over to help me and let me know he had no part in it, he looked about as happy as I was at that moment.

The next day at dance class they got their costumes in for the recital and Roo is so excited. We have it hanging up in our bedroom so we can keep an eye on it, she wants to wear it all the time lol. They are dancing to “Thank Heaven for Little Girls” (GIGI) and have a piece that matches the waist flower part, for their hair. The tights haven’t come in yet. She is saying she wants a bun style the day of the recital but I’m hoping with mom up here we can talk her into something curly lol. Roo’s practice was cancelled ‘cause of the weather and she was sooo happy!!
On Friday JD took the morning off to go to the school with us, I thought it was Pastries for Parents day and the kids in Isaiah’s class have been giving him a hard time about how his parents must be divorced, cause I’m there a lot but JD never is…umm it’s called work ya know? I tell ya kids now days they think of the craziest stuff. So we all show up and I ask the teacher will you need AR testing after and she was like ummm that is next week lol. They did get to see JD in the hallway though so maybe that will count : )

It was so pretty on Friday the sky was blue, it was nice and warm…perfect outside weather. I picked Isaiah up from school and they enjoyed playing outdoors.

Roo came to the house at one point saying “mommy, we have a rooster in the driveway”, I was on the phone with JD so went to the door and sure enough our little hen/quail was back. I love to watch her walk around and she does walk like a chicken/rooster would so I can see the confusion. She walked all around the yard and into the garage…

Roo spent prolly an hour following her around and trying to get her so she could hold her lol.

Friday evening JD’s parents come up to watch the kids in their soccer games. It was colder on Saturday and the sun wouldn’t stay out for very long before hiding again. Roo still doesn’t want to play soccer but she knows she has to finish out the spring session and then when the fall starts up she will begin piano lessons (her choice) while Isaiah plays. Roo did very well though she got in there and fought for the ball and at one point when she had finally had enough she pushed one girl down, I tell the little kids play very aggressive…

She finished the game by being goalie and stopped 2 goals they didn’t score on here…her she is all business trying to find who to throw it to. I thought maybe since she had such a great game she would like it better but was told “no I want to do piano” , I’ve told her she can do both but she really just doesn’t wanna play soccer.

Isaiah also had a wonderful game he has just really amazed me on this soccer. Today was his 3rd game ever and he scored in the first 10 mins of the game. He was so excited! Of course I missed the shot and him jumping up and down, cause I was too busy jumping up and down and grabbing JD.

He took a bad hit to the face almost right after his goal and set out the rest of the first quarter, his nose was all bruised right away and swollen by nightfall. When the 2nd quarter started though he ran out into the field and the coach asked are you sure? He nodded his head…I was afraid he would be gun shy but he wasn’t he got right in there and didn’t mind his nose at all.
They both had really good games although to us every game is good lol.
On the knitting end I’m still chugging away at the shawl and hope to finish it SOON! : )
I hope you all have a wonderful day of knitting!
