For Easter my parents always make the trip up and it goes by so fast, this year my brother and sil also came, they are now living in PA. The weekend went very fast and we all had a great time and exhausted at the end lol. Here are some pictures of the weekend with captions under them; this blog is going to be very pict heavy and I figured out how to change the picts a different way on this computer. : )

Here is a picture of birthday and Easter cards. Along with a Prayer journal, most nights I have been doing a daily devotion and this will come in handy!

We also picked up some new flowers for the table and I think I'm allergic to them...sneezing, coughing, itchy eyes : )

I make this every Easter for dad, he loves this cake but I leave off the cherries : )

On Saturday we (mom, Tracie, and me) went to the VacShak and then to Buehlers, while we were gone dad worked on Isaiah's bike. It was kinda cool but we were able to sit outside for a bit.

Here is Isaiah on his bike that he got for Christmas, it's kinda like learning to ride all over again though : )

We couldn't all fit around the table so JD ate in the living room and I stood in between the two rooms...It was all very good we enjoyed: Honey Baked Ham, Roasted Chicken, Sweet Potatoes, Green Beans, Mac-a-Cheese, Mashed Potatoes, Cinnamon Apples, Pasta Salad, Broccoli/Cauliflower salad, and Rolls : )

The cats did better than I thought...although dad had Bella pulling out her hair. Gideon was kinda glad to be able to eat in peace, seems the pictures on the blog don't show his *true* size...so he heard oh my look how big, a lot lol.

It was LATE before we got to the eggs, next year I think we should knock them out first. I got two kits one that made glitter eggs and the other came with faces for the eggs : )

Here is Isaiah's reaction to the glitter eggs

Here is Roo's reaction to seeing the glittery eggs

Can you tell they are glittery?

The finished eggs

Yogi was reading to Roo when I snapped this picture : )

Isaiah did so well on giving up chocolate for 40 days and 40 nights. He said it did taste a little different but still good, I was afraid he would make himself sick..every time I turned around he had Easter candy in his hands. The bunny brought the kids tons of candy, a toy, a video, bubbles, and jump rope. Isaiah got Marley and Me couldn't wait to watch it. Not to long after he put it in he brought the movie down to me and said he couldn't watch it, I asked him why? He said "cause they said laughing my A.. off and then said go to He.. and then said to Marley you son of a b...., I was NOT happy! This is suppose to be a PG family video why do they have to ruin movies by using those type of words, in our house we don't say them I know other homes do...but still I think a family video shouldn't. I'm very proud that Isaiah didn't continue watching it but instead gave it to his daddy.

Hunting Easter Eggs and Roo has found one

Isaiah found one way up high

Here is my dad, mom, and the kids after the eggs have been found

Here we have my brother, sil, and kids

My dad likes to get on the road early so after they left we fired up the ol' Guitar Hero game. JD was on drums, Tracie on the guitar, and Isaiah was singing...we also had Tracie singing, JD on guitar, Ray on guitar, and Isaiah on drums at one point oh and Roo singing.

Our n'bors brought down little Easter baskets for the kids, they are so good to them and us. We also had Jackson stop by earlier to meet Yogi lol the first time I've never seen him soooo quiet!

This is my brother's dog Rufus, he is 85lbs! He is so cute and fluffy, I love his different colored eyes. The dog groomer up the road watched him for Ray, when Rufus seen their car he couldn't wait to get in, I guess the 6hr trip didn't bother him : )
Ray and Tracie left a little after 2 and since it was my b-day I decided not to clean, ok JD helped me to see that I shouldn't on my b-day. I have a hard time on Christmas and Easter, I like my house a certain way and on those 2 days it's not like that at ALL. So as I post pictures of what all they brought up with them please excuse the back ground : )

My dad made Isaiah a tomahawk, Isaiah loved it (dad it's now under lock & key lol)

Dad made Roo these two little rings one is made from a nail that he makes in his blacksmith shop, the other is made from a nickel! You can still see the United States of America on the inside of the ring, I may have put this one up as well. I just want the kids to have these things later on : )

Prolly two years ago my dad started this shelf for Isaiah he would work on it in the winter time and when he wasn't working on Roo's doll house. Isaiah was so excited to have it finished

This is a little box that dad made me for me, that is like they used to carry their tools in. I decorated it up today with yarn, spindles, and needles : )

Here is Roo's doll house, my dad started this prolly 2.5 years ago. He would work on it in the winter as well. Everytime we would go there Roo would say now is it done? My mom's dad had plans all drawn out to build me a doll house and then he passed away, I would love to have those plans...to me this doll house is very special. We have sitting in the computer room so she can play with but we can also watch it.

This is the side of the house, I should also say that Roo picked out the colors : )

Close up of entrance way

It has a hinged roof so she can bend it back to play in the top rooms

My dad placed the shingles on the roof one by one as well as the siding on the house.

Here are the rooms in the house, notice the fire place and glued in bathroom? Again I must say that Roo picked out the colors...they also brought up lace for me to add to the windows

Here is a close up of the fireplace and dad placed the rocks on again one by one

This year I had hoped to go with mom to a little spinning/knitting get away, but I didn't get to. Mom brought up her goodie bag and gave it to me *hugs*...the yarn is mohair blend and soo soft!

Here is the knit kit that came out last month I think or earlier this month. You have a tape measure, crochet hook, yarn cutter, and row counter.

Then you flip it over and on the bottom it hold scissors, stitch markers, and needle pointers.

I think in February they also had another get together that I thought about driving down to but it would have been such a rush trip I didn't. Mom picked me up some yarn that is suppose to look like stained glass when the socks are finished.

One of the ladies that mom has met makes felted items, mom got JD a WV football and a sheep for my collection. They are so cute!
Awhile back I teased about a gift from mom...it came on Friday and I was so excited but too afraid to take it out of the box by myself.

What could be in the little bag?
It's a Bee!

Mom got me the Spinsolution Traveling Bee spinning wheel
Mom got it set up for me and she didn't have any trouble making that thing go, then I sat down at it...wow it's hard to keep that thing moving in one direction. JD then gave it a try and of course could do it on the first run *grr* so then I tried and tried...while everyone cheered me on...I finally got it going the same way when I went fast but going slow is still hard. I'm pretending to draft while I get the feet down : )

Mom also brought me up some of her roving that I could practice on...

Then she found this roving on a site it's called 'Dust til Dawn' so she said she had to get it for me, that is kinda my nickname in the immediate family. It's a play on my first and middle name...this yarn is gonna be saved till I can do this right! : )
Even though I had a wonderful time with my family and an awesome birthday, we still take time to remember why we are able to celebrate Easter...
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life- John 3:16
Luke 23:33 And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.
Luke 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
Luke 23:35 And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God.
Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise. (Luke 23:43)
Woman, behold your son: behold your mother. (John 19:26.)
My God, My God, why have you forsaken me? (Matthew 27:46 and Mark 15:34)
I thirst. (John 19:28)
It is finished. (John 19:30)
Father, into your hands I commit my spirit. (Luke 23:46)
John 20:22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
John 20:23 Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
John 20:25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the LORD. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
John 20:26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
John 20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter and if you read all of this you now have a good reason to go out and buy yarn, cause boy was this long lol : )
