It’s almost Easter

This week we really haven’t been into much, on Sunday it was very nice and warm, we spent the afternoon battling wasp. On Monday though we woke up to colder temps and seen snow flurries by mid-morning, I also took Roo and got her signed up for Kindergarten. On Tuesday we woke up to a skiff on the cars and ground and had flurries on and off all day. Roo’s soccer practice was cancelled for the day and I enjoyed a couple of hours knitting at Hilde’s house. Again yesterday we woke up to another skiff of snow and colder temps, I will be so glad when spring is here for good! Now that brings us to today:

This morning we had dance class and they always bring in little goodies for the girls for the different holidays, I worked on Easter jigglers but they did NOT turn out. I had so much trouble getting them from the molds even after spraying them with cooking spray.

So this morning we had to run down to wally world and rush around just grabbing fast items. I didn’t have time to really shop for the girls or anything. We put together the above goodie bag in the parking lot of the dance studio, not much but hopefully it was ok, speaking of which I have many left over as a lot of girls were missing.

Since we had some left over Roo and me blew some bubbles this afternoon. The sun makes it look so warm out there but the wind has a nip to it.

Bubbles in the field

As far as knitting goes I did finish the other mitten. I’m not happy with the thumb I had 20 sts for it and I think it needed more. I might have to think on these for a bit and try something else.

Tonight Roo has soccer practice, Isaiah still hasn’t had his first one yet. Then might go knitting with Bobbie, still gotta call her and see.

I hope you all have a wonderful Easter! My parents, Ray, and his wife are coming up this weekend very excited since I haven’t seen them since Christmas… and if Roo asks me one more time when?????? I’m going to go run around the house screaming lol.

Thank you to those who sent me birthday cards, I’ll do a write about that and Easter next blog time. That’s another thing that has Roo so confused how can my birthday be on Easter this year, when last year it was close to Yogi’s (his is in March). : )

Have a great day of knitting!

Oh on Ravelry there is this stunning blanket that I'm wanting to knit, doing a KAL over on KH, and would love to have you guys join me! The first post in the KAL will give you tons of info and links : )

(The top picture is facing the 'wrong' way however when I open it in JD's picture program it's facing the 'right way'...so umm yeah I have no clue)

That blanket is beautiful. If I were knitting these days... yeah i still probably wouldn't do it... ya know how i am about patterns i can't memorize. ;-) but i WOULD put it in my queue like i was going to do it...lol.

Cleaned out my yarn and sent almost every bit of my acrylic yarn to goodwill yesterday. I say almost because after i had it all packed up i noticed a big tub of yarn on a shelf that i had forgotten about. *d'oh* i couldn't bring myself to pull that thing down to go through it too...lol.

of course this means i have more room for material now. lol

Your mittens look great.

About the blanket, that's really pretty, but I don't see where I can squeeze it in. Maybe next year, but not at this moment. There's so much I want to knit...

aww you should do this, maybe the knitting bug would bite again lol. Mom took home my yarn with her that I had cleaned out. I could prolly still get rid of more. : )

Thank you! I know I'm on a tight knitting schedule too but hoping with the KAL being on going I can work on it : )
