Christmas in WV

We celebrated Christmas up here and then on Friday after JD worked a couple of hours, we headed home. We traveled home in rain for the most part but then it cleared up on us. JD was able to stay until Sunday then he had to return to OH for work. He joined us again on Wed afternoon and we stayed till Saturday.


The trip was a lot of fun but as always went by to fast. Mom and I spent our evenings sitting around the kitchen table knitting, while the kids played. Above is a picture of mom’s tree, notice the spinning wheel behind it? : )


Here are the kids enjoying Christmas at Yogi and Mama’s house. Ray and Tracie were also down and helped the kids open the gifts.


The next day we went over to JD’s mom’s house and the kids enjoyed Christmas there with Pawpa and Mawma.


We then walked down and the kids had Christmas with their Grandma

On Monday we went to my grandmother’s house for her Pizza Party. I love her grapevine tree and she had it brought up from the basement just for me, isn’t it purty? : )


Here is Papa DeLay bringing in the pizzas. Roo went with him and helped (or at least that is her side of the story).

The following day we enjoyed lunch with Papa Cole, he thankfully found Roo amusing that day. She was a handful for me that day *sigh*


For New Year’s Eve the kids were allowed to stay up but only Isaiah made it. Here is outside banging on some pots and pans.


The following day Roo realized she had missed it so she had to go out that night and bang on her pan.


Here is Yogi getting ready to blacksmith for awhile. He made my brother a knife and then made me little letter openers. We had fun browsing etsy for ideas, I want a basket… lol

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and Happy New year, and now I’m all caught up. Wish I could say the same with the to do list. I haven’t knitted since Friday!
