An afternoon in the snow

I love being out here when it snows, although I prefer it to do that when JD is home safe and sound and Isaiah is home from school. However, this week we have been seeing the white stuff fly, which is better than last week rain, ice, and a touch of snow.

I’m lucky that Roo also shares this love with me and gets so excited when she sees the big white flurries coming down. I’ve been trying to get out more, taking walks or just standing outside, this winter has hit me with the winter blahhhs, usually this doesn’t happen so soon! : )

Being able to get out has helped a lot and I’ve been taking Yeager for walks, he seems to get a kick out of the snow too.

At first we were going to try and make a snowman but had trouble getting the snow to stick, which surprised me; I figured we would make one in no time. After awhile Roo exclaimed, “this is now a mountain, we are making a mountain…that was okey dokey by me : )

We then decided to go for a walk through the woods

One of Roo’s favorite things to do in the snow is make Snow Angels and she made this one in the woods behind our house.

Here is our apple tree that in fall you can find several deer eating from.

We came across this arch way that Roo loved going under.

It was all very pretty and so quiet, it was nice walk. : )

I hope you all have a great day of knitting!

Beautiful! I am about tired of the snow right now. I don't usually mind it but it has made getting to work to be a bit of a PITA lately. And we haven't really had any snow that is just a nice pretty snow. It has all been the ugly snow. But I am sure that in August I will have forgotten all about this feeling and want it back again...lol

I love it when it snows out here...of course the cold weather and icky freezing rain have been getting on my nerves. At least with the snow it's not as dark and gloomy lol. I'm ready for spring though, but like you buy August, I'll be ready again. : )

These pictures are just beautiful!
Although I am sure you are sick of snow by now, I wouldn't mind a little myself here in Philly :)
