Knitting to share...

Earlier this week my computer decided that it was full and I need to work on making it less full. After some work I am finally able to get pictures on it again, for now. : )

I’m not a very good hat knitter, it’s ‘cause I just don’t take the time for gauge. I rarely end up with a hat that fits who it is suppose to and I have one hat that is so large, it won’t fit anyone. Last fall I did manage to get one hat finished and normal size, so I thought I could try a beret since that one turned out ok. I had forgotten all about it till this week, as you can see it fits Roo perfectly; it was suppose to be for me. After that I didn’t try any more hats, till yesterday…

It’s a beret and it fits ME, I’m so excited that I may try another hat after this one for Martha! Also mom and me have some color work hats to work on over Christmas, so now I have hope that it will fit someone lol.

The pattern is Spring Beret
Yarn: Andean Silk from KP, it’s been in my stash for awhile now waiting to become a hat. This yarn is very soft and nice to work with
How long? Just a matter of hours and I had this hat finished, it’s a very fast knit on size 8s and 9s.
Roo is modeling it for me and giving a peace sign, I’m not sure why or how she thought of it…: )

I also made a pair of Slipper socks on Sunday; these of course are very fast to do. Used Caron Simply soft : )

Also on Sunday, JD received his Christmas gift from his parents; his aunt/uncle brought it over to him. With the tree up there really wasn’t a place to put it where he could recline it, I offered to move the tree but he said he could wait till after Christmas. For now he enjoys it as a chair, and Gideon really likes it as you can see. I figured it would be Bella who would be in the chair, cause she liked the rocking chair that was there, but he beat her to it.

Ok later I’ll have recycled ornaments the kids made, pretzels that we made today, and other fun stuff…hope ya’ll have a great day of knittin’

The hats are great!! Such pretty colors. And your model is adorable. Don't you hate that gauge thing, lol.

Hope JD gets to enjoy his nice Christmas present but it looks like Gideon has claimed it.
