A Christmas Spelling Bee, Bear Making, and Wrestling Moves

This weekend was very hectic here, and I really miss my not running around everywhere day’s lol. I’m a home body, as JD says I’m anti-social. : )

Ok so on Friday it started off with play practice for Roo and then Isaiah’s followed hers. They were having a Pizza party for his rehearsal but not Roo’s. So we had to figure out where to take her lol, it also decided to snow and be icky that night.

On Saturday we got up and had a house to go through, it was very pretty…had lots of sky lights and French doors, but very small. We then watched it snow from here until it was time to leave for the kid’s play, by that time the roads were not looking to good, thankfully JD was here and could take us.

First the Pre-K kids did their songs. Roo had been practicing at home and knew the songs and little poem by heart. I told her as I dropped her off in the class room to be sure and sing loud so I could hear her.

Well she really took this to heart and she was about the only one you could hear lol, their theme was God’s gift to us.

Here she is doing the hand motions for God's Gift

The play was very cute, I think the best they have done so far, and every year I think they are cute. This year’s theme was the Christmas Spelling Bee, which is how they decided who would be the Winning Mary or Joseph for their town’s annual Nativity Scene. The kids did such a wonderful job.

Isaiah is more backward than Roo so he was really hoping to just be in the choir this year, last year he was a sheep. However, the church is really good at making sure every child does something, so he was one of the banner boys.

They carried their banners down the aisle during one of the songs.

He seemed to handle it better this year : )

After church we had the fun time of making our way back home in the snow/ice/mess that was on roads. I was so glad to be home, I don’t like being out like that lol.

On Sunday we waited a bit and then took Roo out to build-a-bear, which was her gift from us for her b-day, since we took Isaiah to chuckie cheeses. She knew exactly what bear she wanted from the start, the panda bear. We had to wait in line for a very very long time (not talking 20 mins either, longer) to get the bear stuffed and then they only had one cashier, so another very very long wait. I was very happy to leave build-a-bear.

Here she is holding her tightly

Here is her bear’s voice

Here she is taking care of her bear

And here is Sara in her holiday best, yes we skipped the shoes and accessories this time, the stuff is very expensive, the dress was what a dress for Roo would cost! : )

It was nice to get out and look around Easton and they had Carolers singing in front of the HUGE tree, JD took us out to eat at this cute place, it’s in a barn. All in all we had a nice day out and about.

Today I worked on the scarf for Mr. C, also my Christmas cards, and I also had to run a few errands. This evening Isaiah had his first wrestling practice and he was so excited. I took the camera with me but when I seen all the dad’s and boy’s…I worried about embarrassing Isaiah. “yes that is my mom taking pictures of me running laps”, So instead we took this picture of him doing a wrestling pose…maybe next time I’ll sneek some pictures.

Of course Roo had to get in on it and here is her pose.

Tomorrow my goal is to finish the scarf (I thought I would do that today) and dad’s ornament. Oh and get my Christmas cards in the mail. I thought next weekend we would just stay home but now I think we may head over to Roscoe for some Santa time : )

how cute!
Build a bear is expensive, esp the accessories, wonder if doll clothes would work? Or baby clothes? Sure would be a bit cheaper.

Oh I so remember the Christams pagents as a kid!
Build a bear is expensive. It's a shame because I swear they don't have to charge so much.
Glad everyone had a wonderful time and had fun with their pagents.

I bet the 24mos would fit most of the bears...or maybe some of her doll clothes would work. The shoes would be hard to fit though.

I know they might do better if they didn't charge as much, cause then people could buy more of. I know they keep running ads here saying more $10 bears 'cause of the economy...I wanna say but what about the clothes??? LOL : )

Thanks guys : )
