It has been a rough couple of days here, I haven’t cried this much in I don’t know how long. Gideon goes out but is usually back in to eat or sleep in a matter of minutes/hrs depending on the weather. However, it seems like he just disappeared, no one has seen him, I can’t find him at all, and I’m just very upset.
He is always back at the door around 7-7:30 in the morning for his breakfast, but yesterday he wasn’t there. I kept going to the door all day and taking walks around the house. Usually when he is outside he is still in earshot or eye shot.
I went to the shelter today but they didn’t have him but did take down his description, I called the radio and they have been playing it all day but no phone calls. I took Yeager into the woods today and we walked all over the place for about an hour…
Gideon was my buddy, as Bella is more of Isaiah’s cat and more of pet me when I come to you and no other time type of cat, but Gideon he was my cuddle cat. If I was in the bedroom knitting/watching tv he was with me on my legs or hip. If I was on the couch he was on the couch or the floor at my feet. If I was in the bathroom to take a bath he was curled up on a towel in the floor. If I was upset it was his little grey head I would cry into, he always seemed to know when I was down or sick. I even talked to him, silly as that may sound. He is 3yrs old now and is neutered so he really shouldn’t have wondered off, I just don’t understand.
Anyways I just wanted to let you all know where I have disappeared to, just having a hard time right now.

Dustina honey, I know how worried you must be about Gideon.
I will be saying a special prayer tonight that he finds his way home to you and is at the back door tomorrow morning looking for his breakfast.

Hopefully he just wanted to take a longer walk than usual. Keeping fingers crossed he'll be back soon.

dustina I so feel for you. we have been through this a few times. we once had a male cat disappear for a week, he was also neutered and a cuddler as you describe Gideon. he did suddenly show up had a good dinner and a cuddle and went back to his normal routine. I hope he will be back soon and will probably wonder what all the fuss is about. Karina

Dustina, I'm a bit late in finding out and I hope you have Gideon back by now. I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope he'll return safely home (if he hasn't alreay)
