A friend of mine sent me the link to this site where you can carve your own pumpkins. I usually get it every year in a e-mail ‘cause the kids like it so well. This is my carved pumpkin lol, I made JD a cat. You can carve your own pumpkin here. : )
I made candy for Isaiah’s party this week and of course forgot about it till the night before, then ran around like a mad woman trying to get it all done. Here are a few pieces showing some of the shapes.

The kids also had to bring in shirts and they were going to dye them orange and draw jack o’ lanerns on them. I had seen the idea in a magazine and thought it was a great idea so when they told me what they had planned I knew I could make one for Roo.

She didn’t want orange and look like everyone else…she wanted to dye her shirt blue lol. She wore it today but you can see how she decorated hers at the party yesterday.

Here is the one Isaiah did yesterday in class.
On Tuesday morning I found out that Isaiah had rough day at school from another mom whose son had told her. Isaiah had told me it went ok, so I thought things were better. She had sent a note in that morning letting them know about the situation as well. I went to recess on Tuesday and sat in the car and watched, nothing happened and the teacher kept a good eye on the problem area (tire area). They continued to do so all week so I’m hoping on Monday it will still be done. Isaiah still doesn’t know about me "spying", I can’t believe Roo hasn’t spilled the beans yet, and the other mom is also keeping an eye out.
On Wednesday they went to church and started their practice for the Christmas play, Isaiah gets to carry a banner into the audience he isn’t to thrilled about this. Roo’s class will sing a song or two before the older kids begin. Thursday we had dance class and they are doing the cutest Halloween ballet and tap dance, too cute!!
Also, on Thursday, JD went to the WVU game and I went to knit night at the LYS. It was time to meet again for our next GAAA block. I had JD pick out the block and he chose the tree one. A friend kept the kids for me she had picked Isaiah up for school (her son and him are good friends) and Isaiah told his friend he couldn’t play on Thursday ‘cause he had to go to knit night lol. So she called me up and said I’ll watch them so you don’t have to worry about them being quiet, YAY!
We also lost our phone on Thursday which wasn't fun...they didn't come out till Friday morning when I was gone to fix it. It was on their end so no bill, YAY! Then our street lost power on Friday evening so we went into town till they got it back on. It was rainy and cold so we figured we would go somewhere warm lol. : )

I also finished up a block that I gotta get in the mail, I was hoping to mail it out this week but it didn’t happen, it has just been crazy this week. I used this pattern but then charted in hearts along the bottom and top. I used Encore for this block.

I also made Isaiah a pair of mittens this week as he had been waiting patiently for his flame mittens. They were fast and easy and he loves them! I used the chart for the Hot Rod Socks and Encore DK yarn.

Right now I’m working on a Norwegian headband and then I need to get another Christmas gift finished lol.
I hope you all have a great day of knitting : )

I don't know where the week went, but mine is with yours!
The flame mittens are so cute. Great job. And the candy too. I can just imagine how good it tastes. Good job mom!
And also sorry to hear about Isaiah's problems at school. Hopefully they will stop soon. It's good to know that the other mom is keeping an eye out too, becasue most people won't now a days. Good thoughts for the week ahead to you and yours!
Thank you he really likes them which is always a huge plus! Thank you for thinking of him/us this week. *hugs*
