Knitting Catch up

I have been doing major catch up this week on my knitting projects, this way I can knit what I want guilt free.

I realized on Thursday that I had a week to finish my first Great American Aran Afghan block before the next meeting. My first block is the church but I took out the sun and put in 2 more birds on that side. There is also a cross on the top of the church that you can’t see very well in the picture and yes it was more bobbles, but her way was easy! I’m going to use her bobble method from now on. I’m ready to go for Thursday, YAY!

As some may know I also signed up for the Yarn Smackdown Olympics in August. I took out Sock Spinner who had taken out Selyon. I received Selyon’s socks from Sock spinner in the mail back in August but just had the time to work on them. I’m really surprised I’m still in the game and this weekend decided it was time to finish these socks up. I received the socks with the first sock down to the heel turn and ready to pick up the gusset sts. I got that one ready to go and then made the matching sock. I’m hoping I get my socks soon (cause I have Christmas knitting coming up and hate to think of knitting this pattern for the 3rd time)…maybe if I do get another pair to finish it will be the other pattern that we could chose from lol.

So now I’m ready to start a 12” block that needs to get out in the mail as well and then I’ll be done and can start on what I want to knit. I have Isaiah mittens waiting, a headband, and then Christmas knits of course. Then I also have the mystery shawl still on Clue 1 LOL : )

As far as non knitting goes we have been enjoying a quiet weekend home, our first in a few weeks. On Friday the school had a father/child breakfast at the school, it started at 7 so we had to get Isaiah up around 6:30, they go and they are having trouble getting the pancakes made so they ended up at Tim Hortons lol. I had AR testing at the school on Friday and of course Roo had her dance class on Thursday. They did the cutest Halloween dance lol.

I hope you all have a great day of knitting!! : )

And I can't believe you keep changing those answers...you are too funny! I did change the style of cards until I found one I liked.
