JD went to the WVU game yesterday and so we decided to make some brownies, the kids love to help, although they kept asking can we lick the forks, yet? : ) We then diddled around with the camera, I’ve been trying to get some video of me knitting, and have decided that if the camera is on, I will mess up. The kids took their turn video taping with the camera. It was funny ‘cause they would say ok mommy can I say this…and the camera would already be rolling. I didn’t want my voice on the camera so was trying to quietly answer them lol. We went with a silent movie instead. I never realized that I hold my index out that far...and use my wrist that much lol. : )
We also spent yesterday going through closets, clothes, toys, shoes, books, and decided that we had way to much stuff. A n’bor wants to have a yard sale but I think it’s kinda late in the year so will prolly take it down to goodwill. I’m not storing this stuff till next summer lol.
Kathy also sent me some really pretty flowers on Friday. I was so surprised, when the florist called and asked if I would be home. I called JD to see if he had a surprise he needed to tell me lol, he said umm no. Then I thought maybe from mom ‘cause she knew I was upset last week. When she came it was the perfect fall arrangement and fits me perfectly. The red carnations caught my eye ‘cause that was my grandmother’s favorite flower. I just love it all and thank you so much Kathy, I really love them and appreciate you taking the time to do that for me! : )
I finished the body of my southend hobo today, YAY! I’m working on the strap right now and then will do the pockets. The pockets you have to cut the fabric the fit before you do the last decreases and I’m not sure on the fabric yet. I wanted it done so mom could help me with that this weekend. Next up is the snowbird mittens I’ve wanted to make. I go this week to place the order for dad’s sweater too. I should do the tea cozy this week as well, if I have time : ) I hope you all have a great day of knitting!
