Well if you’re my cat then you hide in my car. He was inside the house, I was outside cutting grass, later JD comes by and says you better roll up your car windows, but first get your cat out. Huh? I go down and look in the window he is all stretched out in the back seat. I go running up to the house and come back w/the camera and he is in the front seat (seems the kids found him in the back).
So whatcha knitting?

This week I started working on the MS4 stole, even though yes it’s correct the MS3 is in my stash closet, in a baggie, still on a extra cable, and not sure when it will see daylight. This time I’m hoping it will be different as I’m really liking the pattern (although the beads can be annoying). I missed the first clue ‘cause I was in WV and didn’t even start till Tuesday or Wednesday and then had to keep frogging back, those beads about drove me crazy on the 2nd row. I finally got it though, although not finished for the 2nd clues release but maybe I’ll catch up. : )
One thing different this year is I’m not doing it all by my lonesome (I know several hundreds/thousands made it last year but no one I knew in this area), this year we are meeting at the LYS and working on it together. I love getting with other knitters and this way we can push/encourage each other till everyone is finished.

Other things going on well the CW border is not, I read and read how to get it started and I think I can now, but I also read that it takes 3-4 times longer to finish than it did the body of the shawl. Whoa! It took me over a year to knit the body, of course I didn’t work on it everyday and would skip months of working on it…still it’s hard to tell when I’ll finish it.
I thought I would start Isaiah’s mittens but he said he wanted a race car coming out flame, huh? I have no idea how to chart it, of course in my mind I’ve thought of some ways, but nothing has worked. I told him it might be just flame, I think give him a week and he will change his mind lol.

The Christmas season is fast approaching and you would think that I would have a head start on my gifts, but I don’t. I did start a list to the side to cross things off as I finish them. My dad has wanted a sweater since I took up knitting and last trip in he picked out his pattern. I get a kick out of my dad requesting knitted items, let’s me know it will be used/loved/all that. Above is a Christmas gift finished and I know they will also be well taking care of as the friend puts her requests in very early to give me enough time lol. Which is very sweet and usually I still wait till Christmas Eve, but not this year…I’m done with one gift!
Also, little Roo bug has started “knitting”. OK, it’s not knitting, but she calls it knitting and gets very annoyed if you try to tell her other wise... to her, she is using yarn and a needle so it’s “knitting”.

I got this and just had them on a shelf like for display, she got the box down, and was all interested…all I’m allowed to do is help with the needle. She also has a 3rd one she is still working on. I don’t push them and she doesn’t work on them everyday, and sometimes it’s just 2 seconds before they are put in the box.
So what am I going to work on this weekend? I’m going to give these gloves a try, I think with google translating I should be able to get them to work ; )
I hope you all have a great day of knitting : )
Gina, and all those in Ike's path your in my thoughts and prayers! Stay safe!
My tip for the day: Ok so my mom calls me Lucy ‘cause I always have these wonderful ideas, and then JD has to figure out how to straighten them out. I won’t say much ‘cause this went on for months and now is through/finished…but if you or a friend ever think of switching to Vonage to save a few dollars, DON’T, just come sit by me for awhile : )

Don't we all need a hiding place every now and then? I'm glad you found some like minded knitting peeps to hang with. Good luck with MS4.
