Enjoying the Outdoors

The last few days here have been really nice. It’s been cool enough that I can have my doors/windows open and we can also enjoy the outside. I like this weather a lot better than all the rain we have had mixed in with the muggy hot days.

The kids enjoyed playing in the pool and trying out their new goggles and nose plugs (for when we go to the lake), Isaiah wouldn’t leave them on for a photo though lol.

Isaiah went to his first sleepover last night and seemed like he had a really good time. I’ve been holding off doing this ‘cause they seem so young, but his friend just lives up the road so it was close. They have been asking since before school let out lol, I think they were up till 1am and next week they want to stay here! : )

I finished up Isaiah’s socks yesterday and was planning on making Jack a pair since his last comments about my knitting, however when asked for sizing he didn’t think he would like socks, but maybe Spiderman Mittens. I had printed a pattern for Isaiah a pair but I don’t know if I want to make 2 pairs eek!

This morning I was trying to figure out how to put the new swiffer duster together, I couldn’t get that handle to slide up in the fluffy stuff, when I heard Bella come in and start fussing. At first, I thought maybe she was hurt, since she is not usually a vocal cat, so I picked her up and she was purring but wanted down. She then went to the doorway to the living room and cried again, so I followed her and what did I see?

A MOLE! The photo is after she decided to take care of the mole, I think my squealing, panic phone call to JD, and the broom scared her into what I might do to the mole if she didn’t take it back. I finally got it outside blehhhh….

This is what happens when your cat has made her own cat entrance, you never know what she will come carrying in!

I cut the grass today and while I was cutting I noticed my swing was just a swingin’…that is what I found when I stopped lol. He was just enjoying the day I guess.

Of course Gideon was starting to feel left out so I have to throw in his photo as well…

On other knitting news here is my progress on the S.O.S sock, can I say that I can’t wait to get to the 2” limit and be DONE with these socks!! I will never ever do socks this way again lol…although it might be the size 0s that are not helping or the yarn that is sticking, but oh well I won’t try it again to find out.

I also got to go knit for a couple hours on Tuesday, it’s always nice to meet with the others and get out for awhile. We met in Roscoe this week and it was Kim and Becky, we all worked on socks and got Kim going toe up, YAY! : )

Otherwise here it’s pretty quiet we are just enjoying the days outside before school starts. Give or take I have usually my 2 +1 or +3 kids here during the day…which makes it fun for the kids. They will hate to see the summer come to an end, school starts the 20th blahhhhhh. I’m not one that enjoys seeing my child go back, although I do miss the routine you have or something.

I hope you all have a nice day of knitting and are enjoying your summer : )

You gotta love animals and the things they do. Sounds like your kids are having a great summer. The weather has been cooler lately and it feels great to enjoy some time outside without being all sweaty.
Have a great day, and cute socks as always :)

Thank you!!

Bella brought in another mole this morning and decided she didn't care if she caught it or not. Thankfully, JD was home and got it out of the house lol : )
