A day with the animals

This weekend was spent at the house knitting, helping JD clean out the gutters (I was the ladder holder lol), and then going to the Columbus Zoo. The kids seemed to have a great time, although it was very hot and the animals were not out much at all. I think it’s best to go in the spring or fall for everyone involved : )

I’ll start off with knitting photos first and also the Fan Favorite scarf now has new photos of the WVU scarf : )

I have been trying to work on the Civil War shawl so that when I visit mom we can block it. I’ll need her to help me figure out the best way lol. There are 161 Rounds and I’m on Rnd 140 (I thought I had stopped on 138 but it was more like 132 eek). Two rounds are about all I can do in a day as the rounds have gotten so long to do. I would love to have this finished. : )

Besides working on the socks I have OTN, I started Roo a pair of socks. I went into the LYS on Wed to show them my Silly Socks and Denise asked if I had tried Jeannee yarn before and asked if I would. The yarn is very very soft and I did like working with it, I think it would make a great face cloth as well, it’s also very reasonably priced YAY! I am also going to make Isaiah pair of socks and his friend. His friend was down and saw me working on Roo’s and told Isaiah he was so lucky that his mom could make socks lol. So I thought I’d try and get them done this week as well.

Yeager decide to sport a country look this week and I think all he needs to finish the look off is a cowboy hat : )

I tried to get a photo of Bella in her new color but she was not interested. Gideon has had the same blue collar on and it still looks new, this is Bella’s 3rd or 4th one. I don’t know what she does with them either, she hides them somewhere!

Now for some Zoo photos, of course I should have read my camera book ‘cause some pictures didn’t turn out. Esp. if the animals were behind fences…if I zoomed in for the animal it popped the fence or flower in great detail…however the animal would be fuzzy : )

I hope you all have a great day of knitting : )
