What Happened to Spring??

It was really nice here in OH and the kids were loving being able to go outside and play, I was even enjoying the time outside. It seems though the rain has set in and won’t leave, even though we do get breaks in the weather it’s still chilly and you need a sweatshirt/jacket on. Hopefully the weather man is right and my nice sun and warm temps will be back this weekend : )

As you can see from the above picture, our little Bella had a car ride today. She had to go see the vet to make sure she doesn’t have any kittens. Roo said “they better take care of her ‘cause she sits on my bed with me when I cry”, we can pick her up tomorrow at 8:30.

My target received her socks yesterday and she liked them, YAY! I was so worried about that color of yarn, but it seems most like them. The toe fit her a bit tight and I was hoping it wouldn’t. It fit me tight but the SW list had her wearing a smaller size so I thought it would be ok. You also finished the toe with a lot of sts which made it boxer. I had fun and had to laugh when I read this from my assassin, my socks should be here soon.

Beware, victory is mine. Your demise is imminent. My weapons are in the mail. You are my first ever "kill". What an adrenaline rush!! Of course, a warrior doesn't gloat until the death is "registered". I await your demise with bated breath. You fought the good fight, but alas, the karma of a first-time warrior has triumphed.

May your death be glorious and may your feet stay warm in death.

There has been a lot of confusion and unhappiness that I hope will be cleared up before the next Sock Wars.

I haven’t touched my SKP socks, because I haven’t decided if I like them enough to continue. I think the slow start to the socks and all the errors just made me blah on this pair, which is a shame ‘cause it’s a beautiful pattern and one that has been in my ravelry queue for sometime.

I did work on the first swirl for our shawl. I didn’t block it, but this gives you a little bit of an idea lol.

I’m also making myself work on the CW shawl either a row in the morning and one at night or however, but at the end of the day 2 rounds have to be completed. Two rounds almost takes 2hrs and I know if I don’t make myself, this will never be finished. I’m on Rnd 130 right now and have finished the next point YAY!

Tomorrow I’m also going to my first Knit Night, One Knitty and I took several classes at the LYS together, and our boys are in the same class this year. We seen each other again on the Roscoe Field trip and she told me about the Summer of Socks and how she would lmk when their next knit night was. I’m really looking forward to getting with others and knitting!

Of course this also means that I joined Summer of Socks lol, it’s pretty low key on how many you make and all that. However, for some reason I then went and joined the 52 pair plunge (that’s 52 pairs of socks in one year) and I joined the Sock Olympics which is going to be similar to sock wars lol. Let’s not forget that in July the next SAM should begin as well. I have lost my mind, but most work together like the sock for the sock Olympics can count in all other groups, like how I make it work in my crazy head?

**One Knitty’s blog & all KALs mentioned above can be found on the right hand side…

Linda went in today for a PET they could not do the other procedure last week, due to the position of the mass and the aorta. Hopefully if the PET shows no cancer then they can go in and hopefully remove this mass, finger crossed the mass is NOT around the aorta**
