A pair of socks and half a couch...

A few days ago I went grocery shopping and found myself in the nail polish aisle, and realized that it had been 8 yrs since I had long nails. So I bought myself some fake nails, not really thinking. I came home all excited and glued those suckers down, and then realized why I don’t have long nails anymore. They tend to get in your way when you are doing almost anything. I have lost 3 and had to glue them back down because I couldn’t get the others off. Maybe if I had thought and had them professionally done the outcome would have been better? Anywho, tonight I remembered that mom had sent me some WV decals that I was saving for football season. I decided to put one on to cheer on the Mountaineer’s Basketball team…Pretty neat huh? Also, today I was going through my jewelry box and came across the first ring JD ever gave me. It was our sweetheart ring and he gave it to me either on my 15th or 16th birthday. I was happy I could still wear it 12/13 years later (it’s the little heart ring). : )

Yesterday I spent the whole day waiting for the brown truck to come. On it was suppose to be my couch. I had tracked that thing all day and it said both boxes were in OH and in transit. Finally around 4pm the UPS man pulled up and was carrying a huge box. I was so excited like Christmas morning. He laid it on the porch and I was like umm the 2nd box? He looked at me and said I don’t have a 2nd box? You don’t have a 2nd box? But it’s supposed to be coming…the computer said so…sorry ma’am no 2nd box today…I was so disappointed!!



I opened up the box and seen some of the cushions and wood, along with the fabric we chose. This morning I found out that my 2nd box went all the way to Richmond, VA and should be here tomorrow. It’s like Christmas morning at my house but I can’t open my gifts lol. I so wanted to kick that futon to the curb last night!



The way I spent my day was peeking out the window while knitting on my skp sock and watching TCM. I finished up the cuff today and woohoo it’s good to be done. I didn’t place in the top 3 spots and first I was like ohhh man…but hey I knew it was a competition and I should have been ready to go at Midnight. The lady who took first place sat for 9hrs so big Congrats to her and the others who have finished!!

Next up the Sockamania March Sock, and then a sock out of yummy Koigu so mom can help me with crochet parts when she visits during Easter. Do you think I can finish all that by Easter? I also need to finish 1 matching bootie, pair of booties, and a purse.. : )
