Today was a snow day here and the kids have had a blast. I’ve enjoyed the snow but for the most part have been making candy for school. I also went ahead and made some for us. I decided to make them big hearts and once I pulled them from the freezer I thought hey how about adding their names? Cute idea huh? Well it is if you have done that before but since I haven’t it turned out pretty icky looking but hopefully they will just enjoy the extra touch. : P

On Sunday we finished Isaiah’s valentines for school and made his box that he will take with him on Thursday. The suckers have to be there tomorrow and I just made them chocolate ones cause you can’t use red dye #40.

Yesterday the kids got their boxes from mom & dad (aka mama and Yogi). They were all excited cause they knew it would be a box of goodies. They also sent JD some candy and me a cute little bag.
Mom had seen this bag in a magazine and sent me the link. They are to help keep your yarn where you want it to stay. The bottom has something in it to weigh it down. This will be perfect for me because I can be knitting away then stop look up and see that my yarn is in 4 different rooms leaving a trail. At the other end I know I’ll find Bella having a blast with it. Now she won’t be able to sneek and steal it! You can see the Beanie baggie here @ www.mindyourknitting.com .

I also finally blocked my wrap and I think a plain ol’ St st wrap is harder to block than a lace one. It took me most of the Grammy’s to block this. It turned out very warm and snuggly. Now I can wrap myself up in malabrigo (just gotta find the perfect button).

As for the Sockamania socks they are coming along. I’m at the heel of the 2nd one so I should be able to finish them and wear them on Thursday.
I hope you all have a great day of knitting!! : )

It's funny. You've got a snow day and I sat outside my whole sunday. I think I prefer snow in winter. Sun is for spring. (it definitely felt like spring)
Snow angels and yummies...it doesn't get any better.
I wish it was spring lol. I can't wait to be able to sit outside and knit again lol : )
They enjoyed the snow and the yummies when the came back inside...along with some hot cocoa : )
silegos here...We have had some snow here it stays for a bit then melts. Yesterday 12 degrees and today all the snow is gone. I would love for my kids to have a good snow fall like out east. But for me I am a summer kind of gal and I am counting the days til spring...lol
silegos~I'm so ready for spring and summer lol. I like the snow once or twice a year and then it can move on. Although the kids did have a blast so that helped a bit but it can leave now lol : )
