This past Friday one of my favorite country artist sang one of my favorite hymns on CBS. I’ve heard her sing it before on the Grand Ol’ Opry and it gave me chills. I could listen to her sing this song over and over, so it was no surprise to me that it is getting so much buzz.
However, reading some articles today I was surprised by the comments that are comparing this to Elvis’ version and did she up him. Now I think Carrie has an awesome voice, but up Elvis? Elvis? really?
Many of you may or may not know I had an Elvis bedroom when I was growing up, even though he died a few years before I was born : )
So you decide, either way what a hymn…and what voices!! : )
