Isaiah began this year behind, it really amazed me how two school districts can be so different. This year has been catch up for him. I knew we were in trouble when his math review was things we hadn't gotten to yet at the other school. He has worked hard and it has been hard on him.
So when they called him up for the Black Bear Pride award 'cause he had made such a huge catch up with his math and is now caught up with all the students that have been going to this school since Kindergarten. I was so happy and the teachers didn't tell me. I had been asking when will you test him again and was told "oh we will get to it." I could tell their eyes were on me as they read the award. He did it, I knew he could all along but there was times he had his doubts!
Then I raced out the door with my donations, passed off the cart to anyone who could return it to the school for me, and made my way to the park. I carried the chips in and left everything else in my car. Some parents must have gotten there like an hour before had their spots camped out with their folding chairs...I sat in the mud lol. Roo told me when she got off stage she didn't think I would make it. Told her wouldn't miss it for the world!
On stage waiting for her name to be called
The graduates
Roo and her wonderful teacher
Roo and her flowers that her Grandma Scarbro and Aunt Debbie brought to her
The cake
We also got hit with some bad storms...all dark and nasty
Lightening made the field appear like middle of the day. I was taking this from our bay window...can you see the horses? They stood out in it the whole time and so did the barn cats.
I do have video but life has been crazy and will get to that soon, hopefully!
Have a wonderful weekend!
