Take a moment and remember

on why you have a 3 day weekend, why you can go shop the many sales that are going on (which I find crazy that anyone would have sales this weekend), why you can go down to the local pool that has just opened up for the season, and why you are having a cookout.  It's because we live in America and so many have died for our freedoms.  We can never forget this and we can never stop being thankful, we owe them and their families so much.

This is a clip of a few of the interviews on Band of Brothers.  The last man who speaks in this clip, always make me cry.  I want to tell him no, you were all heroes.

I heard about this next song while watching a music countdown show...they made a comment about this song so I ran to the computer to have a listen, and the tears began to fall, and then the chill bumps as I listened to the West Point Cadet Glee Club begin to sing with Trace Adkins.  In April at an awards show they performed this song...it's very touching.

God Bless America

This blog post is a repeat from last year's Memorial Day post, just a different title.
