This past week in pictures..

It started off a little rough, not sure if we were fighting allergies or a spring cold. Everyone seems to be doing better now, just getting rid of our nagging coughs! I did have to miss my knitting night, which I was really wanting to go too as Roo will have dance on Thursday's now till the recital.

One morning I woke up and looked out our bay window to see the fog, I think it is so pretty to see it set in the valley.

I've been working on a project that is taking a long time, when you see on Ravelry that everyone making the items says beautiful, but took a long time, well believe them!
Sometimes you just gotta do something quick and break up the item, here is a little purse key chain.  I thought they were really cute!

I also made Roo this little purse and used bracelets that I never wear that have charms.  It's not very big but I thought cute : )

We have also been trying different hair styles out, trying to find the perfect one for recital, this is the Cinderella Hair style.  It is very quick and easy to do, not gonna use it for the recital though.

Roo's class has also been passing around the pizza making kit.  The kids have been loving it and Roo couldn't wait for her turn.  You get to make your child into a pizza while acting out the book, then the child gets to write down their favorite part.

We also had an Amish man stop by to talk to JD about maybe using our pastures, JD is suppose to talk "dealings" with him soon.  This is not his buggy, it was open and I would have loved to have gotten a picture of it while tied to our porch.  I didn't think I should though so I took a picture of another buggy passing our house : )

Isaiah found traps in the barn (that don't hurt the animals) and he set one up in the field to see if could catch anything, that we would then set free again.  Each morning they take off to the field, but so far no luck.  The raccoon and ground hog is staying away from it.

We also had a new bloom, so pretty, have no idea what it is though.

We have also been blessed with more sun filled days and warmth, on Friday I was so proud of myself.  I got most of the grass cut by the time JD pulled in.  We still need to finish the push section but the rain has kept us from it.

Yesterday JD took Isaiah to get his hair cut, he has such a think head of hair, and it doesn't take long before it has grown back out.

I also figured out the inside out braid for some reason my mind just wouldn't wrap around this braid! It looks so easy on the video and it was easy once my mind cleared.  The bun she wants for the recital has this so I had to figure it out : )

Gideon has been enjoying the fresh air (and so has Bella)

Roo has mentioned getting her ears pierced for the last year but this past week it turned into a real desire.  She was telling everyone at school and every day she told us about it.  I had told her before about the care of earrings and she has seen me with mine.

I have trouble with metals, basically all I can wear is gold or my ears give me issues.  I didn't want to take a chance with her first piercing so we headed to Newark.  I didn't want the gold plated or the hypo allergenic earrings as I have trouble with these as well.  I wanted a nice pair that she could keep and wear.  So we headed to Newark and to the mall, in search of the perfect place to pierce her ears.

The first time in we found out they couldn't do both ears at one time we had an hour wait till the next worker came in.  So we headed to wrap up some grocery shopping and then returned.  She couldn't do it, she was too afraid.  We left the mall to finish up the grocery shopping when she decided she wanted to give it another go, so back to the mall we went. She was able to climb up, take a deep breath, close her eyes, and it was done.  She was so proud of herself.
She picked out a pretty blue (Sept birthstone) for her first pair of earrings.
