The end of our trip home

On Friday we went up to see Mama and Papa DeLay before we left and to get some more of her good potato salad and deviled eggs : ) I wanted a picture of the four of them together but of course had to use my phone! When they come up this spring, 'cause mama wants to try out our swimming pool ;) I'll get a better picture!

On Friday JD was at the gator bowl they had a good time despite the loss

It also started to snow on Friday so the kids put on their winter gear and headed out in it.

On Saturday JD returned from the game, we had a lot more snow but was too cold for the kids to go out in it, and I enjoyed a morning out with my dad. We went to see Papa and did a bit of shopping and window shopping : )

My papa and grannie didn't celebrate Christmas when I was growing up, they would come up to see what Santa brought us and hang money on our tree for us, but they didn't have a tree or do anything at their house. Last year my aunt showed me pictures of when she was still at home and they did have Christmas (they stopped before my dad left home)...It was surprising to me to see them that way all around the tree. She surprised me this trip in with a little card with the Christmas pictures in it, along with this lantern. It was a wonderful gift that I will cherish! I have the card right now on my tree but hoping to find some kind of shadow box to place it in so you can still flip the pictures.

On Sunday we headed back home and we were thankful for those new tires. This was what greeted us as we started down the mountain...

the car handled it very well.

Hopefully someone removed the tree from the power lines

Made it to the bottom and here is my waterfall all frozen

The mountains are beautiful when covered with snow but they were hiding Sunday morning.

We returned home to more snow...and its still snowing. The kids didn't go back yesterday or today and knowing Roo she is praying for more snow so she won't have to go back tomorrow. : )
