This morning after putting the kids on the bus for their last day of school before break begins, I started making my way up the driveway. When I realized I could see our view through the barn, not suppose to be able to do that. So I hurried on down to the barn and this is what I saw...

Somehow the door was open to the pasture (we never use or open this door) and the cows were standing in the barn and I could tell they had been into plenty already. With stuff knocked over and cow drool lingering on items.

The cats who stay in the barn on cold days like this were looking at me like do something please before we have cow juice lingering on us.
As I started to text JD to see if he opened the door and how to get them out...

this one decided to start eating the ladder

This one was really enjoying the barn and didn't see what the big deal was

even came over for a head scratch
Once I finally got them out and had the door locked back up. They started doing their angry cow moo, we are now cow mooing experts and can tell the difference between I'm happy and I'm ticked. We seem to mostly hear the I'm ticked moo : )

JD told me to give them just a little bit of grain to do till their grain feeding time...and of course that always makes them happy.
Thankfully they didn't figure out how to get into the grain storage or they would have ate it all! : )
