Our Weekend

We headed home where JD was going to be rafting and we were going to be relaxing.

I took our kitten in that can't use its front legs. He is just such a happy kitten always purring and wanting lovin'. Might be just a little spoiled, I had to make a hard decision about him : (

We had to feed him every 2hrs and by the time I was leaving he was trying to play more and more. Mom is taking him to the Vet today...

We got to see the kittens we brought down the first part of summer, they are getting so big. Dad somehow got them trained to first sit on the stool, while he pets them. Then he gives them ok and they will then get on his lap, they can't just jump on his lap : )

Most cats will run from Roo, but not Tim. He played and played with her, I think he thinks he is a dog. She would toss gravel out and he would go and bring it back to her. This is Mama's cat and yeah Tim is a play on my dad's name : )

The kids got to see Uncle Jerry again it had been awhile. They didn't remember him and didn't believe us that Yogi did have a brother.

We enjoyed a campfire

Roasting of marshmallows and s'mores

Roo asked mom if we could also have fireworks, we actually found a box while out shopping lol.

The fireworks came with these glasses it played on the colors and would make ya dizzy after awhile

I couldn't get over how far dad has come with his gun...

he wanted me to say that this is an ol' WV squirrel gun lol

The kids also got to play with their cousins, we went shopping, knitted, visited with Mama and Papa DeLay, and checked on Papa. He told me about going into the mines for the first time with his dad and how he bought his parents a fridge with his first pay check so they could get rid of the ice box. He talked to me about meeting grannie and his ol' homestead. I then got to sit and talk to dad for awhile and learned of how Papa had walked him into the mines and different things. Mom and me stayed up way too late talking, and one night I got to fight with a bat in the house lol.

All in all it was a wonderful trip in and now we are back to normal. Well as normal as we can be this month every day something is going on it seems and next month is even more crazy. : )

No knitting pictures to show just yet but I hope ya'll have a wonderful day of knitting : )

Wow! You really do pack a lot of activities into a couple of days, eh?

Thanks!

LOL yeah we make the most of it when we go in.

I know when mom took him to the Vet they thought that maybe there was hope for him so they were going to give him to someone who could help him learn to cope...
