Our company

This weekend gave us a preview of spring and it was soo nice. The kids enjoyed playing outside most of Saturday with their cousin Alex, yesterday wasn’t as nice but we still managed to get out for a bit and attack the wash house. While we were outside our company arrived like they always do tired, hungry, and wet. They must come across a creek or something to get to our house. They are usually muddy and have briers in them as well. They visit with us for a spell and then head home or wait for the bright red shiny truck to come and give them a lift. Funny thing is I was just telling Kim on Tues. about them and they made their first spring appearance this weekend.

This is Sadie and she has been coming here prolly since the first summer we lived here. She showed up that first night and I thought she was the n’bors but it wasn’t. We fed her and she stayed the night, I called the Shelter and they knew right off who she belonged to lol. She has gotten older and walks a bit slower and I have to admit I’m excited when I see her come ‘cause I worry every year if she will be able to return with her friend.

Her friend is Lucy and she started coming maybe the 2nd summer with Sadie, they are owned by the same people and now have tags with their number on them. She is the main eater and will eat anything! She has more spunk in her step than Sadie but they always arrive at the same time, I don’t know if she slows down for Sadie or pushes her up to our house lol. A couple of hours later we heard the familiar sound of the big red truck, their heads always perk up and they know it’s time to go home, I don’t even have to call them anymore they just show up. Sadie won’t jump in the back with Lucy, she rides up front in style on the way home : )

Isaiah and Roo enjoyed taking turns on the rope swing this weekend, they enjoyed being outside it gives them a break from the long winter.

Roo enjoyed eating some bread; yep that is bread in her hair. She was holding it up high so Lucy wouldn’t get it.

Also this past week I finished JD’s socks but haven’t gotten around to posting the picture.

I’m working on a test knit sock right now but hoping to finish it up today and cast on to the Alpaca mittens.

I hope you all have a wonderful day of knitting! : )
